| I'm fairly new to the Lawler scene, but I absolutely loved his skybar set, one of the best I have heard. Where can I learn and hear more about his style |

Nathan was absolutely killing it. Such a shame that Lawler just didn't take over from there.... |
That's why we went home. After $40 and trying to cope with Guv in general, I couldn't take any more. Oh how I wish I had braved it out. |

OH how i wish you did too......:( but it was great to see you both non the less......
review- better late then never- i can't complain- i had an amazing night/morning.... fought my way to the main room to see lawler start- i wanted the full experience- all sides of ''the man''- and wow did he deliever. dark, chugging, bass heavy, dirtyness.... Chiapet - "Westworld" (Skylark mix) - - - the room went off- i didn't want to leave, but the crowd was forcing me too.... :nervous: so i headed back to the skybar- caught barato's set....incredible as always- then as i tried to proceed back to the room, the mob to the skybar had begun- so i turned around and went back- glad i made this decision-
mcgregors lead up to lawler was meh in my opinion- very slow....but in essence, a good lead up to lawler.....because he followed suit, slow, drugged up morning sunshine music- the vibe was incredible....sure there was pushing, sketchy nonsense and such... but it is to be expected at such an event and i will not complain about it....it adds to the essence of the event itself.....
lawler did what he does best on the skybar in toronto.....i dub it simply LAWLERHOUSE.... he just picked it up with every hour, rollin' chuggin' drugged out beats (kinda reminded me a bit of some of the Nubreed CD-- Chab-matica for instance)
-then AIRBALL drops- crowd goes mental- mental- lawler's quote of the Year.... he loves Toronto and we love him too..... I couldn't have asked for a better morning in the sun
- - - until next time- - - |

His final, (double encore) track was the 2nd tune from his Trend DJ set that was released a little while ago, not sure if thats the one you're talking about, or if you mean the end of his actual set. |
yes!! except it was the third one
it's called "andrew - sombatiki", crazy track |

For me personally McGregor just sucked. He let one track run out completely (I think that's the first time I've seen that happen... ever.) his tracks weren't going ANYWHERE (that place was DYING to go off), and his mixing was REALLY bad. lol |

Seriously. That was a true WTF moment for everyone. Thankfully Joe was there to put on a track, since the McGregor had disappeared to who knows where.
Not sure if anyone else noticed, but McGregor played the exact same opening track on Skybar as he did in the Mainroom. Weak.

man, that was funny. a few of us were on the stage chillin out when the music comes to an abrupt stop. at first i thought it was a technical issue. i glance in to the dj booth and nobody was there. i peek behind the dj booth and there was oliver macgregor taking a piss on to the roof. thats when joe went in to the booth and played a random song from one of the cdjs.
. that was hilarious. :D |

Agreed...I look at gallery as a classed up comfort zone..but nothing compares to the zone, which by the way was extremely good after Lawler!! |
