over here, whoever buys the most bottles gets a table.

those with 3 litre bottles normally get a vip table

vip table = table that has chairs.

How many tables are there in the average American club?

Most serious clubs over here have between zero and one tables in the whole place, which are usually only for standing anyway, no seats around them.

I don't think this is only an American club thing, but most other places don't charge you an arm and a leg.

In that case they should've charged you for 3 or 4 bottles. You would still pay it.

This is the first time I'm hearing of people dropping a few grand in a club in one night. This is actually pretty funny and sad at the same time.

i do agree with you about the sad bit. however, it was her birthday and she wanted to have fun! i just kind of feel that the club staff are laughing in our face to see that they are profitting hardcore off of it...

my friend thought it would make sense anyhow to just get the tabl/botte (and i don't think they charged extra for the table... it was the bottle and table together, i'm pretty sure) because drinks are about 10-11 dollars for the drinks we normallly drink...

Well, yeah, I am pretty inexperienced there.

Went clubbing in Europe when I was younger, but besides that my experience is strictly Aussie.

The whole idea of a V.I.P table just cracks me up anyway. Sitting down is the last thing I want to do at a club, let alone paying $300 for it.

I guess I'm kidding myself when I say that we don't have tables over here; plenty of clubs do of course, but it's not a big thing, we certainly wouldn't pay for it.

My favourite club though...1000 person capacity, and the only tables are outside, where you can't hear the msuic.

Of course they are, lol. How naive can you be? It's a business after all. Jesus they're not there to do you any favors, lol. They want all the ing money they can get out of you.

Really???

Plenty of times I've dropped over $600 by myself, in one night, and I don't even do coke, speed or k, which can easily take you up to $1500 if you have a big one.

Well depending on how heavily you guys can drink, sometimes it’s worth it to throw in for a bottle rather than pay $15 for weak ass drinks all night.

And yea, nyce, that’s about what it was like for me and my friends when we’d get bottle service in sobe. My ex would always be like “” when he’d find the crumpled up receipt in his pocket the next day for like $800 at Crobar. Lol

I only think it’s worth it for VIP if it’s like a really nice area away from the crazy, packed club crowd and there’s like a nice little couch you can sit on. I like to have a place to sit. Especially when I have 4 ½ inch heels on.

Again, that's pretty funny.

People buy whole bottles of champagne/spirits over there?

Hardly anyone does that here, and if you do, it stays behind the bar so that sneaky people can't steal your piss.

No one answered my question about bus boys. Can you get table service at American clubs?

Apparently a lot. My friends said pills are like 20-30 dollars!

Beat Blog
MDMA - $30 a pill, but ours are much, much stronger than American ones.
Coke - $350 a g
Speed - $200 a g
K - $200 a g

Those are club prices, you can usually get cheaper if it's at a person's house during the day.

Remember that our dollar is weaker than yours, so $300 of ours is probably around $210 of yours.

The main price difference is in coke, because we can't make that ourselves, whereas you guys have a steady supply from South America.

When I said I've dropped $600, that could involve the following:

Taxi to club: $20
Entry: $80 for a big event
Pills: $90
Alcohol: $140
Taxi to second club: $15
Entry: $20
Alcohol: $100
Cab home: $30
Moral Hazard
I don't get the whole bottle service thing. I really see no need to have my own little table for my group of friends and pay a huge ass mark-up for it. Maybe this is because I don't drink... or maybe it's because when I go out I prefer to be in the middle of the fray... just another ed up monkey with a head full of chemicals dancing like a moron. I suppose I'd rather be part of the party then watch it.
