Those are club prices, you can usually get cheaper if it's at a person's house during the day.
Remember that our dollar is weaker than yours, so $300 of ours is probably around $210 of yours.
The main price difference is in coke, because we can't make that ourselves, whereas you guys have a steady supply from South America. |
It looks like I'll have to go into the import / export business of coke and K into Australia. :wtf: |

beat blog --> as for bus boys, there was a bottle girl who came and poured our drinks for us. there were two other guys who took our cups and other stuff around the table.
slylee--> yeah i agree with you about sometimes it's worth it to get a bottle if they charge such prices... on the sitting thing, i don't mind if i have to stand the whole night or not... but it is nice to sit when you have the heels! |

I don't get the whole bottle service thing. I really see no need to have my own little table for my group of friends and pay a huge ass mark-up for it. Maybe this is because I don't drink... or maybe it's because when I go out I prefer to be in the middle of the fray... just another ed up monkey with a head full of chemicals dancing like a moron. I suppose I'd rather be part of the party then watch it. |
It's ok if you're going with a big group and plan on drinking a lot. It's worked out in our favor many times. Plus, it's nice to have a table/place to sit/put your all night, knowing it won't get ed with. |

bahahahaha
That's hilarious.
I'll go to a restaurant if I want that.
Table service at clubs is pretty much non-existent in Melbourne.
Remembering the clubs I went to in Paris, ours are much more "ravey", with a focus on dancing, not sitting down; more of a party atmosphere.
Now that I think of it, a lot of DJs have said that after visiting Melbourne too. There's not much class at all (at the big clubs anyway). You go to a bar if you want to sit down and drink, clubs are for rayvin'...:tongue3 |

LOL....I couldn't imagine spending that much money. It's all about having connections. :) |

| We don't really do that here. VIP tables/sections are a waste of money for normal people. |

this is exactly why i avoid the tables and vip stuff and just hang out on the floor or mingle around.
even if you split that much money between a few people, its still hella expensive. ok for once in awhile, but every weekend type of thing? nuts to that. |

man you australians sound like a bunch of hicks.
some clubs have tables in corners and sides, other places serve the bottle right on the corner of the bar. You keep the bottle on your table!
Tables are really useful when going out in groups, you can chill there and take it easy. Not everyone like to dance around juice monkies high on pills.
plus the table is like your own little dance floor, you get to dance on it :D |

Except you pay for your tables and ours are free and you pay loads for your wine which pales in compariosn to ours. And ours is cheaper :D |

we don't pay for tables, that would be a new concept here, I wouldn't be surprised if they start doing that.
and yeah, a girl passes by the table asking from time to time if we need anything. |
