[girls]something ive been wanting to ask for a long time

ok, so this is something that i has crossed my mind various times...maybe i already made a thread about it but i forget.

this isnt troll im serious. I'd really like some feedback cuz im totally lost as to how this stuff works.

ok, so I personally think that girls are pretty much equal to dudes...if anything judging by highschool girls are smarter. Uh physically...I don't give a most of them are stronger than me anyways. Thats not very important now.

so why is it that males still dominate so much stuff. Like why are the best or most "innovative" chefs/clothing designers/interior designers/makup artists or whatever still dudes. Why is it that even in industries where most of the people interested in it, and trained in it are totally women, but men are still at the top?

Is this just the whole male bias thing in the corporate world? Well forget that then...let me look at something else.

Why does it seem like to some extent guys tend to have a higher creativity ratio or something...like not as many girls produce, or invent and like that...maybe they are equally involved in like drama and visual arts and ...and dance...but yeah guys still are at the top of those too. Don't get me wrong I know they have done mad things and everything, but like for every 10 dudes that write music how many girls do you think do?

Whats weird is that some girls actually are like...uh stereotypical girls...like the kind that would make a liberal feminist want to throw up, and they like it that way...they have no desire to break that. They are cool with being objects or whatever. I guess i have to remember that the majority of males are lame too, but cool girls who are interested in cool seem even rarer...I've seen like 2 girls on the internets who know how to tweak the out of proper synthesizers or some like that. Yeah I understand that girls are gonna have different interests...but still. I guess I don't buy into that oh no girls arent gonna like synthesizers and outer space, because i'm a boy and I like dresses and flowers.

I dont know exactly what my question is...maybe like do you guys think these things are all due to conditioning? or is it like a physical/instict thing.

Like I said I'm not trolling, seriously, if i said anything that offends girls (or dudes) it was unintentional. Oh yeah and I don't wanna google this , because its all ing crazy ass extremist literature on it.

I'm kind of curious about the same thing actually. Was talking to my sister about why there are so few female DJ's/producers just the other day, but it really applies to almost anything out there.

I think a lot of chicks are still just brought up to think that finding a good husband, getting married and having kids is all they really want/need out of life, which is fine I guess if that's what they want. Just because the options are there doesn't mean they want to take them.

I think maybe the ones that don't want to get married and (well not right away at least) feel pressured to automatically take on a major corporate/academic roll.

Also female djs suck. Just as bad as male ones.
END THE DJ.

see how poorly she cues that record? and how she pretends to be really working those eqs and cutting the bass on the track...well trance djs do that too.

Yeah maybe, a kind of kneejerk reaction, they go off completely in the opposite direction or whatever.

I like to see musicians perform their work.
IE: jamming the boxes.
like making music. Did you know you can make electronic music live? Like real music!

I don't want to see someone play a bunch of other peoples music and get paid MORE IN A NIGHT THAN A PRODUCER MAKES IN A ING MONTH.

this is off topic though, and im totally gonna get flamed for this bit.

I'd really like to hear some girls imput on this (the original subject)...especially that one who blocks everybody...she seemed businessy...but she probably has me blocked lol.

Neither do I really, maybe it's best you answer your own perception and definition on 'success' in certain areas and occupations.

lol right on cue.

anyways, its not about success really, I don't give a about the money thing.

I just mean in general...forget success I'm talking mostly about arts in the second half of the post...and theres no money or success in arts really aside from the artists feelings about their work.

Yes, it is conditioning. From the earliest years of a female child's life, she's seeing the media portray women as objects of desire, because of looks...or whatever it may be. In this media view, to be wanted by men is important, not really anything else.

And most industries are still male dominated, which is why you see less females in those industries. That is slowly changing, but still not that fast I guess.

On top of that, men can't bear children. If they could, there would obviously be a good number less men in 'the workforce.' Many, many, many women leave working life to be a mum. Often over and over again. There, I think, is your discrepancy between genders.

There's probably a whole lot of other things too, these were just off the top of my head.

:)

I don't know how to say this because I don't want to.

But I guess my general observation is that it SEEMS like girls tend to have less creative drive...or else they don't pursue it in the same manner...

I don't believe or what to believe that this is like a biological thing or whatever, so I'm curious about what might cause it?

Of course theres the possibility that im just a horribly sexist pig who doesnt see girls for real...but I have beleive it or not talked to some cool girls in my lifetime...and a lot of them seem just as dumbfounded by it as me.

no but seriously...

its just my opinion dude...dont get me wrong i know i suck at producing and , I wasnt trying to be personal.

I simply don't really like the idea of seeing djs play that much...i mean yeah its about the music and party or something...but man acid jamming boxes is a hell of a lot cooler for a party in my opinion.
