SANDER VAN DOORN @ Space, Saturday, September 22, 2007!!!! (pg. 48)

you know i was a little disappointed by saturday too. not at lot obviously, but a little. the set went by too fast and i really could of done without hearing a couple of tracks and on top of that he didnt drop my track (yes im still bitter as about that).
BUT............
despite that... that is STILL one of the best sets ive ever heard at space. space has never had most of those tracks spun there. so for sander to just go in there and drop the mothain bomb was insanely brave. he could of completely bombed and been pulled off early or had his dec gig canceled if the space crowd didnt like it. but the fact is, the majority of people were ing LOVING it. i never go to space and hear people chanting "oscar oscar oscar" but you know how many times i heard people cheering "sander sander sander!" and it wasnt just tas.
sander rocked it. yes it probably could of have been better, but you gotta understand that was his FIRST time in the ing world famous space! so i think he did awesome. and im sure in decemeber he'll drop it even harder!
sorry you couldnt really enjoy the set spacemasters. but thanks for the drink ;) so make sure you make it out next time. :p
edit: and yes i realize people probably do chant oscar's name, its just funny that ive never ever heard it. i hear more of the whoop whoop chant when oscar is on. *slaps forehead* ing high school kids. |

What is LC?? Boris ripped up Saturday @ Pacha. As far as I know one of Boris' friends gave me V.I.P cuz he thought I was up from miami visiting NY and asked if he'll be seeing me Oct 5 @ nocturnal.

Plus I don't understand why people keep saying Sander could have played more trance? It's like saying OG could have spun less gay
It doesn't happen, Sander doesn't spin trance...never has [SOME trance but never Above & Beyond jiggly puff trance]
I fuking loved him & although I could have done without some tracks and done with others, I still had a GREAT nite and I LOVED the fact that it wasn't sardine central up in there. Partying like you're packed into a can isn't fun in the least bit so that made the nite so much better
plus the sound system was at it should always be.
Funny how OG has been a Space resident for 34254874631.2 years and STILL makes it sound so effing crappy.

woooooooooah there little mama. Calling Lis & Flo hypocrites is completely wrong. None of them are hating on Trance and Lis is a the biggest TranceAddict I know.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. TATW rox cuz they play good tunes from their label [which kicks ass] and also stuff from other labels. But we all know Above and Beyond plays very melodic live.
Nothing BAD.. just for some of us we like it a little harder. We like to dance and not stand around for 30 seconds with nothing to do because of a huge breakdown. |

I totally agree with you Mel. But whether its electro trance, tech trance or euphoric uplifting trance, trance is trance! So just because they do not like A&B's stuff is not a reason to call it crappy or ty.
And btw, SVD does play trance, its techy trance, and here we go back to the whole debate of defining trance.
And the whole breakdown for 30 seconds, am I the only one who hears other DJs?!? PVD has done it, Armin has done it, I think everyone has done it! |

whoooa you need to back up...you OBVIOUSLY don't know me, if you DID you'd know that I'm probably a bigger tranceaddict than you and because I don't like A&B doesn't mean . I love Anjuna FYI just not them...sorry if I am not into tracks that have a 4 min breakdown with no energy.
Calling me a hypocrite is pretty funny just because I called A&B cheesy puff.
All I fuking said was that SANDER doesn't play trance, and anyone who truly knows SvD knows that. TECH trance isn't the kinda trance I was referring too, look up the genres.
He only produced a COUPLE of trancey tracks under Sandler which isn't even an alias he uses anymore.
Just cuz you love A&B and I don't does not make me any less of a TA.

-edit- Armin has done it but Armin fuking sucks and as far as PvD, he does it like in 1 or 2 tracks but PvD's sets consist of constant energy which IMO Above & Beyond don't.

I didn't say "LIS IS A HYPOCRITE" nor did I say "FLO IS A HYPOCRITE", I just said that I get tired of reading hypocritical , so relax, and if you are offended, then my apologies, but if you took offense then it that implies something...
And again, words get twisted, I didn't say A&B is the only trance that exists, that is just putting words in my mouth, so re-read what was written so there are no misinterpretations.
And I do know Sander, I knew about Sander probably around the time you were introduced to his awesome music, just because I have not been on TA for as long as you have does not mean I have just been introduced to his music. We come to the same old song and dance of who thinks what is trance music. This is the same discussion and/or argument TAs keep having. Do people have that much pent up anger that they need to bitch and fight about it EVERY SINGLE TIME?
And if you want to get into this "I am a bigger tranceaddict than you" pissing contest, that is just dumb. I am 28 years old, I have been into the scene for more than 10 years, and if you have been listening to trance since you have been 10 years old, then that is awesome for you, glad you enjoy the music as much as I do :)
And if you think Armin is , that is fine too, again, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but no need to shoot other people's opinions down, that is just tacky and in poor taste. |
