| I saw several people using glowsticks, not my thing but each to their own, who gives a what people are doing? Utter gay law if you ask me. I bet they have the same excuse for not investing in any lasers too! incourages people to take drugs:crazy: |

Yep, definitely. At Tiesto's show at the House of Blues in Orlando, someone threw a pair of sunglasses at him at the very end. He kinda just froze for a second then smiled (I wanted to throw a brick at him for sucking so bad, but that's beside the point [kidding]). So it definitely happens and so I can see that being a reason for the banning. |

zen fest 1999... chemical brothers were ending their set... and ing everyone and their mother just started chucking glow sticks at the stage. it was just a sea of glow sticks. they didnt care. they just kinda ducked outta the way and even through a couple back. lol.
that was ing cool, although if that were to happen now a days the show would probably be stopped right there. |

Was a bit of a glowstick throwing session at Tiesto's show in Atlanta a few weeks back too, at 1 point it seemed about 100 glowsticks were flying in the air, and then someone threw 1 at tiesto when he finished his 'extended' 3 hour set:rolleyes:
Tiesto must be getting used to it. |

Don't know how long some of u have been going to space but The Original location of Space DID allow glowsticks & lights at FIRST.
Then the stopped allowig stick for many reasons.
1- It can hit someone if they are being spun or hit in the face.
2- Paraphernalia
3- A hallucinogen
They did allow the usage of lights for the time being.
Now as far as the new Space goes.... They also DID allow lights for a while but NO sticks. Lights were allowed to be used til around 2003/2004.
I know cuz I've used them when Tiesto, PVD & when Eric Morrillo first spun @ the new Space. But for reasons they changed all that & banned lights completely.
After that it was the bouncers were told NO MORE LIGHTS AT ALL. It would be up to the bouncer to be cool & tell you to put them away or be pricks & take them away or you had the option to give them up or leave. To me if that would've happened I would've left. For a few reasons.
Even during WMC they've allowed in the past, but NO MORE. U can try getting away with it but chances r u will get them taken away. It depends I heard for the 7yr anniversary they were allowing lights for the most part.
Some people see it differently than others. Lights & sticks can be interesting & fun. To each is own.
Now let's what kind of twist this topic turn into.

that was the worst nite ever. i remember seeing that and dave getting jacked. Kelly was like wtf my purse is in his car! and im like dude what is gonna happen to him, i need my ride, and i knew there was a few things in his pocket. We walked outside and you guys got let out and we all dipped to that condo or whatever on sobe.

and so my review goes as follows...
I was blessed to become friends with QBA (Gino) and get the full on treatment that night.
I arrived with my buddy @ 1:20 AM, no line, awaiting for Gino to get us in VIP! Sickness! Nice seeings Kaenow and meeting Eyekon in the line. SvD arrived to space @ 1:30 AM. WE saw him walk in the front and shouted "SANDER!!!" Smiled back and he seemed like a nice guy. We entered and went straight to the elevated VIP in the back. Started with a blue island ice tea to get the night rolling. SvD jumped on a quarted till 2 and that was it...MADDNESS...

SvD ended close to 5 and i was blown away. Amazing set and awesome time with my friends.
Oscar G came on and was playing pretty sick for closing. A Bit chill but still real Miami like. Good job to OG.
I was blessed to meet Sander and talk about his label and Identity and he said he really liked Space! So that should sick when he returns.
Close to 5:30 we proceeded to the Roof for the afterhours maddness. Patrik M was playing and it was still quite empty and ark out. Iwas a bit disorientated cuz it was my first time in Afterhours. Patrik M and Cedric ripped it up, and Cedric dropped a few house bombs, i ncluding Pryda's Armed. Can;t wait for November!!!
Gino arrived @ 10 30ish and i proceeded to the booth with him and some buddies and when Cedric finished, they left and QBA jumped on. from then on it was morning fun!!! haha. Great time in the booth, messing with the horn, and hearing Gino drop a few gems as well as enjoying a few cold ones with the friends. A great night and one I wont forget.
