i don't think it ever got to that point. i went to bt earlier that night and got to space at about 3:15 or so and there was no line to get in and the price was at $30. the free thing was just to get on a promoters list and get there before 12 or w/e, and i had friends that took that route, so at one point it was free. |

You took the words right out of my mouth Javi.
Whichever friend of yours paid $40 at or after 2 am got screwed over because they had a sign where you paid that said $30.
And there has been a no lights policy at Space for the past 4 years to say the least. If you were using the light to guide then they shouldnt have bothered you, but if you were using it for other purposes then they would pounce for sure. |

ah.. good times... Ferry, June 05... and then I got kicked out right after him for giving them about it... (i actually brought that chem light from iraq to space... it was one of those super bright find your way at night type ones) i was too ed up to care about their policy... but im not a glow stick guy so i gave it to my friend (dr dave)...
i still remember the police's faces and their reaction when they searched me and opened my walled and saw that i was a lieutenant, i think that saved our asses b/c they had originally said we were going to jail...
edit: did the new space ever allow lights or glow sticks? i want to say yes to lights but not to glow sticks... and as we know, the old space was anything goes... |

yea man that was crazy. i remember being at space and hearing something happened to you. i was like wtf?! :wtf: so karen and i dipped and met up on the beach for some afterparty madness. :D gooooood ing times! well except the bull at space. but the rest was good. :toothless |

Yes they did, it was allowed for a limited time, then they passed the Rave act. The Mayor believed that using lights promoted drug use so they warned the clubs not to allow lights. |

| I think a response i heard about the glowstick issue is: It could potentially become a projectile being used or thrown around and possibly hit a dj/patron... |
