Just came back from Mount Snow.
Thursday was the coldest day I've ever ridden, all the locals thought we were in insane to ride in that cold but the conditions were sick. Friday and saturday got a little warmer and conditions improved as well. Sick Riding all around.

Yeah mount snow is pretty sick, i went there last year because killington got real ing old. Looking back, I'd much rather be at mount snow. Cheaper, better trails (though less), better rates, etc etc etc

Holy ... Spent yesterday on Blackcomb and was feelin good about myself. Was goin all over the glacier and bowls over there, tearing it up. Ventured over to Whistler's bowls/peak and got my ass thoroughly and entirely handed to me. Then when we got onto the 'groomed' trails again, they actually weren't... just moguls and moguls and moguls the entire way down. I'm done.

Today was much clearer than yesterday, tons of great powder, although some areas were REALLY deep - I would fall down and be unable to get up b/c the snow was too deep to plant my arms. I unexpectedly ran face to face with a cliff with about a 15 foot drop and proceeded to fall/tumble off. Never did any of this back east :haha:

i'm so ing jealous......you wanna hurt your ego, try west cirque on the south side of whistler peak. if you're up for something even hairier, try the cirque or the couloir on the north side of whistler peak. Hortsman on blackcomb is pretty sick (it's just above jersey cream)....it should be nasty right now with all that new snow. you are so lucky, you don't even realize!!!

before you leave, make sure you get over to the trees on the south side of blackcomb. raptors ride, where's joe, watch out, and yard sale are great tree runs.

thanks dude... I'll check those out.

Yeah I got off the Jersey Cream lift today and saw all these people coming down from the ridge above... looked so awesome. That ginormous bowl looked so intimidating though, but I'll look into it tommoorw. As long as the runs don't hvae massive moguls on it I'm fine. I wore myself out going down those bastards... def not meant for snowboarding but I carved through em... hamstrings are barking right now though

Jersey cream is an awesome run...

Leaving in 10 mins from Bern to go up this very gondola in the pic to ride in Grindelwald, Switzerland for the day. It's ski areas on the trio of Bern Alps mountains: the Eiger, Moench, and Jungfrau.... hope I get some great pics today. :)

It's about 99% skiiers here in Switzerland. I feel like a true DEGENERATE!! :toothless

need more updates from people!

alisa's pictures look stunning, jerz's been giving advice, chanman's in BC. i'm sort of helping with planning for march SLC trip. i really want to push my PT, maybe be strong enough to board in two months with repaired ACL? wishful thinking. if it isn't strong enough by then, i won't mind waiting til next winter.

this weather is killing me....i wanted to go to MC this weekend, but not if it rains.

An update from Alisa would be nice. those pictures are crazy.

as for me, since my cali plans were destroyed by, of all things, too much snow, it looks like a replacement trip to denver for my birthday is in order; planning for the first weekend in february. Then of course, my annual trip to whistler in march. i wish i could get one more trip in there.

my ty pics don't do the place justice...

Funny thing is I came all the way out here to get on the real mtns, get some real powder... and i've gotten powder alright - 4 ft of snow so far this week. It's too much man.. I can't handle it, i'm not used to it... I'm just now starting to get used to leaning all the way back to get above the powder but damn, what a workout I'm getting. The worst is getting stuck at the bottom of some bowl in a flat area and having to hoof it out. Today I got stuck in some waist deep snow up on whistler... that wasn't fun. 3-4 inches of powder = awesome... 3-4 feet... :wtf:

I also don't think they've heard of grooming up here either
