It depends on what you're into. As for parks, Mammoth has an absolutely sick park, but unless you're pushing crazy it won't matter because i doubt you'll hit many of the features. The smaller parks at mammoth are also fun, but you can find similar parks almost anywhere. Also in cali, squaw is simply legendary.
I would suggest utah. The snow is better and it's much easier to get from one resort to another. There is alot of variety within 30 minutes of SLC. Brighton is small and has a pretty good park with features that are managable for a non-daredevil. Snowbird is always a good time (my favorite resort in the US). Snowbird has some of the best bowls and alpine runs. Then there's always PC and the Canyons. |

| Brian, what's up with Whistler? I know it's early, but what were you saying, Jan 4-14? I might have my own dates to contend with (maybe arrive later or leave earlier etc, depending) but that basic time frame (after New Years to mid-Jan) sounds good to me. It works since I'm planning on being in Switzerland somewhere from Dec 23-Jan 2 or so, where I would make sure to definitely get a few days of boarding/skiing in on the Alps.  So if this all happens, what a month it'll be for me ... :eyespop:  :eyespop: |

i'm veering more towards utah, thanks.
'n def. going to be cautious when doing any trips towards late march, esp. in whistler. i went this past season and we have a blizzard/rainstorm all four days we were there.
was fun, but not exactly. |

early march is the best time to go....they get dumped, and it's still cold enough to snow at the base. I go the first week of march. never a problem.

well i'd like to check out mammouth before this upcoming season is over. my plan is to move back to ny, so im going to take whatever opp i can in the CA-region while im here for this season for sure.
im down to go to CO .. although, ive been to brekenridge + keystone a couple yrs back. im all about trying out new undiscovered terrains in my capacity. i have my friends who have season passes in CO and they've been dying for me to go 'n visit them again, so may just make a trip out there this season as well.
