A slap in the face to DJM-800 owners if you ask me (and many seem to agree)...

No word on price yet, Pioneer hasn't even officially made a press release yet.

But I'm going to assume $1000-1200 range.

OMFG. I've always hated pioneer equipment (the 600 was quality) then the 800 started to make me come around (but still no that much), but if they get the price right on this one I might just convert.

Pioneer says they will still continue to make the 600 anf the 800, but it's a bit aof a bitch-slap if you've just shelled out for either as it's going to be better then the 600, but cheaper than the 800.

mmmmmm...sliver. mmmmm...full midi (control surface) mmmmm....lp/hf filter mmmm....full eq kills (well -26db aint bad) mmmmm....no "colour" knob (WTF is that about, it's like when you see a "tone" knob on a 80's hifi)

That's insane! I'm buying!

That's what I get for being hasty and buying the -800 already, I suppose. I'd be interested to see what the MSRP is. The main reason I got the -800 was for MIDI capabilities, which it looks like this unit does equally well. Oh well, no regrets.

Note that this one isn't digital. So if you are spinning on the cdj's I suggest you buy the 800. This one is actually just like the 600. Same effector, not digital, no colour effects,...

yay! a bunch of gay effects. that's what mixers should be about.

also the dude testing it was seriously driving it on the reds, should turn his gains down a bit.

nothing impressive at all... :o

Ha. The effects sell the mixers, but yeah they get old very fast. Most people have a hard time using them properly, not everyone is James Z.

Still, it's a nice looking unit compared to the DJM-600. Kill that thing off already. It's had it's hayday :)

Looks pretty good, but too expensive for me ;)

Zild
Too expensive for a Pioneer.

it's good to see that more and more people are unimpressed by fx and I have never understood the fuss about James Z. Technically great but does it sound better than someone mixing 2/3 tracks together well, with some "normal" Dj tricks.

I just wish I could find a superb quality 4 channel mixer with kills and curve control. Discontinued PMC 55. Why vestax?, why? :(
