It was nothing like Lawler Madness 2005 in terms of crowd. (eventho I had fun at that party too, hee hee hee).
The last 1.5 hours of Sasha's set were UNBELIEVABLE!!!!
Scary great tunes. Good crowd interaction. Sasha is king!
The tunes in Gallery, great too and it was so awesome seeing everyone in the Halloween spirit!
No issues except the amazing lack of stands selling water.
Even getting there so late (at 1:30) wasn't a concern (and we got cheap parking because of it).

I had a great time until I had to leave.
Ecstasie was a pal for letting me join him half way through the guestlist lineup. Thanks Jeff! Got in, and joined Sketchbag outside for a smoke and sat down to tape a laser to my shark prop. I didn't have a shaved cat for Mr. Bigglesworth, so I had to make a shark with a frickin lazer on its head. While doing that I was asked for a picture from some other partyers, and at that point, I felt a sign of something was simmering up for the night. When we went back in to warm up, the main room was filling up. There were some AMAZING costumes. The first one I saw I thought to be a winner was the creepy wheelchair guy with the S&M slave. The disco robot blew me away in the crowd. I shoot the with Moral Hazard and ChemEnhanced. Then I bump into Mini Me. Awesome! Surprisingly to me, people asked me to stand next to him for pictures. I said hi to him, introduced myself and gave him props on his costume. The idea came up we should hang together since we compliment each other's costumes. People were taking pictures of us like crazy, I didn't expect it at all. I apologized to my friends for leaving them to join Mini Me, I hope that was OK with you guys.
After a while, one of the guv employees came up to Mini Me and I to go on stage in a few minutes. Holy cow. Mini Me mentioned that if there was any prize won, then I interupted him and told him, dude, I'm here for fun, if anything was to be won it's yours. Dominic was his name, and he spent a year making his costume. He's as tall as I am but crouched in a wheeled barrel with a chair and midget built up around him. Great detail went into that chair.
I chatted with the other contestants. The robot guy took 4 years to make his costume. Chinamon and I noticed old NIC, modem, and VGA cards making up the suit with several LEDs and neon rome lights. I asked how he powers all that, and the heavy lead-acid batteries were in the 'boots' of his costume which elevated him. BO was a little nasty standing next to him, but it's understood, since it was hot like hell in that costume of his.
He ended up first place, followed by Predadtor and I think the Halo guy. We were told we were 4th and not in the money.
THANK YOU ALL for your extra effort for cheering me and Mini Me on! You guys made my night.
OK, my 15 minutes were over and I moved on, and looking forward to joining back with my friends for the rest of the night. I finally got to meet a TA I really wanted to party with. It was at that point when somebody many of you know decided to suprise me and join me. My drunken friend was a little embarassing, and pulled me away to talk. The talk was a drunken mess, and had to drive her inebriated self home. I was pretty buzzkilled after that ordeal, and I really want to apologize to everyone for not staying longer or coming back. I'm really sorry, and I'll make it up.

it looked like the predator guy wasnt even gonna join the contest. he was just standing on the dancefloor in front of the stage with his friends. jose saw him and said something to him and pointed towards the stairs for the stage. im pretty sure he is glad that he competed now. :)
there were a LOT of great costumes on saturday. i was really amazed with the talent and creativity.

I can honestly say I did not leave the gallery the entire night. I knew there was a chance that I was missing out but I didnt even care because I honestly couldnt believe anything could be better then what Carola was putting down. There was no need to take that chance, there was some serious magic happening in that room.

Overall it was a great night only thing that pissed me off was coat check???? wtf is up with that? I had to hold my jacket the whole night anyhow Sasha played Swoop - Black Market (Butch Remix):crazy: :eyespop: that made my night. Too bad I missed Carola it was way too packed to walk.

If you want somewhere to put your coat,
Go to the Gallery and where the seating area is, put it on top of the roof sheet. No one will try and steal it cause its hidden up there and it won't cause the ceiling to collapse.

i wouldnt trust putting my coat anywhere besides the coat check or dj booth. i wouldnt even leave it with a bartender just in case he/she finishes their shift and i cant get it back.
