MAD assumes that both sides are acting sane and rational and neither side wants nuclear destruction. That doesn't really hold up if the people with the nuclear weapons believe they will be rewarded with 70 virgins in heaven if they die for their cause. |

One might also argue that it doesn't hold up if the people with nuclear weapons are fundamentalist Christians who also believe they will go to Heaven if they die for their cause. Your country went to war because God told your President to, don't you ever forget that... |

yeah those ing christians sure are causing a storm now......wow.... and this woman is getting lashed for what again???
I would take a christian yelling at abortion clinics and yes, the occasional abortion office here in the states getting blown up than this happening cause they think its the right thing to do.......
if these people think that doing this to a WOMAN for getting raped.......
just think about these people having nukes.....

why is it that everyone who discusses this issue on TA (COR, PDD) always takes the punishment out of context? Is every TA so ing stupid and blind that they can't let their personal bigotry get in the way with the facts of the case?

Generally, I hate when people try to parrallel a current event to pre-WWII circumstances but I do have to correct you here. Germany was in no way shape or form a power let alone a super power during the intewar period. No military, stagflation, decreased industrial capacity... they were for all intents and purposes a third world country prior to the National Socialists taking power. |
