Not to continue being a downer because I'm sure you all had a great night...but this is a perfect example of where I felt he went wrong.
The cruisy, melodic and relatively down-tempo Zocalo, then into the harsh beats of Control Freak straight after. It just doesn't make any sense. |

i wouldn't have done it if i was up there, but i think he pulled it off: he was a little jumpy with moving from harder stuff to softer stuff at some stages of the night but i never really thought he failed, and it's not like he trainwrecked it.
oh and the only up i noticed was his mix into apologise (SVD bootleg), and then out of it... he seemed to struggle there.. but one tune messed up out of 9 hrs.. top effort :D |

Big Sky was Big Fail.
Had a good night. I'm probably in the small minority of people who liked last years show better. Enjoyed myself for the whole night as opposed to the first half of this one. The production was top-notch though I was expecting something on a similar scale to Gods. I was too tired to appreciate the second half of the set packed full with a whole bunch of classics. Opted to sit down and have a look at the view for a while. Watching the crowd go spastic to Fly to Colours was ing awesome :haha:
Also, I think ate about 50 confetti bits :whip:. They kept landing in my drink and I failed to notice until I tried to swallow a mouthful of paper. |
