Dear Armin,
You are an awesome trance producer, and I love your mixes, my favorite being "Live at the armade in Ibiza" (my favorite comp. ever).
I would, however, respectfully request that you stop plastering your face all over the front of your cds. Trance music isn't about selling yourself, its about feelings and emotions that are bigger than us. It makes me so discouraged everytime I go down to the music store to a new mix, and I see yet another one of your cds with your face plastered all over it.
It's one thing to have your face on the cd as part of a visual collage, but its completely different when the only thing that is on the cover, is just a huge picture of your face, which, by the way, isn't has good looking as you might think.If you were a popstar trying to sell top 40 vomit to the masses, then it would be understandable. but your not.
No matter how good of a Dj you are, don't ever think that you, or any other one dj can encapsulate trance music. its bigger than you, me, or any other one person, and please start treating it that way. |

i actually like armin's face. the actual music on his face-plastered albums, eh, not so much.
but you do bring up good points. DJ's are so conceited & self-righteous these days. |

Agreed. armin isn't the only perpetrator, but he is probably the most well-known. |
