You marvelously, and without looking back, prove all of the points I have made thus far with regard to constructive criticism.
Keep it up poster boy. |

And yes, I am being a nitpick. But pompous asses like you deserve it. :) |
Pompous asses such as myself?
Would you discredit Freud for a typo or misprint in any one of his many, substantial and significant works in psychology?
Would you discredit Renee Descarts, Plato or Aristotle if any one of the numerous translations may have accidentally misrepresented their ideas?
Ideas remain constant. You can be as nitpicky and accusative as you want, but the fact remains the same. |

Apparently I've chosen the wrong community to communicate with.
This is pretty pathetic. |
You may want to reconsider the placement of that preposition, übermensch. |

Thus, this topic has turned turned towards the ultimate destination of EVERY thread on TranceAddict.com. A flame war in which NOTHING gets accomplished.
You INSIST on attacking my character because you do not have the ability or sheer knowledgeable fortitude to attack my ideas.
You all prove my point without even thinking or blinking. Congratulations.
Regardless, I would still love to hear what another educated or experienced mind has to say about my points. If you offer a response, I will offer my own counter argument in very respectable terms.
Cheers. |

Point Three: Direction
What is wrong with allowing Trance to gain a foothold with the rest of the more popular music genres? Would this foothold not LEAD to more expansion and progress within the genre once a certain standard has been established? Music evolves, it always has and it always will. Once a standard can be seen, deviations naturally stem from that particular standard. If we were strictly speaking about quality over quantity, we would we discussing Theories in Economics: we are discussing MUSIC. Let the it reach the masses. Let it influence your neighbor who likes 50 Cent, or your best friend who enjoys Fallout Boy. This isn't wrong in anyway: as MANY rational thinkers on these forums have educatively pointed it, it can ONLY help.

Never in the history of music has that worked. Hip-hop went , house went , drum'n'bass went , trance went and dubstep is bound to go because a formula is being established as we speak. When a genre grows too popular it is destined to go down the crapper.
It has nothing to do with nostalgia. I wasn't there, and didn't need to experience it live to notice these trends after the fact. It has nothing to do with being jaded. These genres were never "my babies" (maybe with the exception of dubstep), I'm just really defensive about quality music. To retain that quality, the dimwitted public needs to stay the away. |

| You aren't pompous because of your usage error, and I never said as much. You are pompous because you want to come here and lecture us on your supposedly "objective" view about the "ridiculousness" of the discussions here. Whatever. |

Who is to determine between "dimwitted public" and "knowledgeable private"? |

It is merely objective because it is an outside point of view, void of any side taking.
You can compare it to the objective or perception of a learned child, just now experiencing the negatives of a communist regime. |

"No side taking" my ass. Here's one example of a viewpoint not held by quite a few people on the forum:

Your ideas are either old or ty. None are worth a reply.
You talk down to everyone and are wordy. So wordy, you make up words like educatively and use words incorrectly, like illicit. I might make mistakes like that myself if I were drunk or high or...heh...JOKING or something, but what makes you a wit is the fact that despite your average grammar skills and subpar ideas, you still act like you're smarter than everyone. And that's what i've discredited, dum dum.
Now you're namedropping random philosophers. Great. |
