bs, the past years the FIA has done nothing but creating new rules to end the ferrari dominance.
Hamilton let Raikkonen pass again after cutting the chicane but he instantly jumped into his slipstream making the pass possible.

holy crap!
watched it today, thought it was a fantastic end, and i agreed with the commentators that even though stewards were investigating i didnt think anything would happen from it but now just watched the news and saw they penalised hamilton, its pretty crazy. like he said in the press conference, he could either crash into kimi or go off on the escape road, i dont see why he can be penalised for that. the only thing i could think was that he took too long to give back the position? which made it easier for him to pass again? but then when he passed kimi again they were both weaving, kimi could have gone further on the inside but went outside. stupid end after a great race. i reckon webber should have pitted for inters as well after what heidfeld did! :( dammit! |

I think praise has to be given to nick heidfeld for the final dash during the wet weather conditions. Hes really good in it.
He made the smart decision to come in for wet weather tyres and now got 2nd. His team was like.."Wait, are you sure??"
And hes like "look I know what I'm doing aight?"

BMW just gave him the hurry up, and told him to perform better. I guess he did? If McLaren or Ferrari change drivers they will be going after Kubica, most of the paddock has made that clear.
As for the decision, it was too harsh. I agree that Hamilton still gained an unfair advantage over Kimi, because he cut the chicane. Had he gone through the corner properly, he would have been much further back, and would not have been able to pass on the next turn. But with that said, Kimi crashed anyways, and Hamilton won, and he should not have been given a 25sec penalty.
It was awesome to see both of them driving without the standings in mind. They both wanted the win, and that is the type of racing that Spa encourages. Second best race track of all time, with the Ring being number one. They need to hold all 18 races at Spa. |

He would have gone past Kimi later on anyway. Hamilton was much quicker at that point than the Ferrari. Questionable decision by the stewards indeed. |

Umm no, Kubica is generally kicking his ass. He's been having too many problems in qualifying and has had some really races where he couldn't get into the points.
He's still a good driver though, has had some occasional good weekends, like this one. BMW shouldn't get rid of him IMO. |

I think kubica is limping just as bad as nick recently..maybe its the car, but I find it hard to believe that BMW could have cocked it all away after a brilliant start to the season. If anything, a car should get better as the season progresses.
Anyways cant wait for the night race..a few of my mates working/living in singapore managed to get tix but I dont think its worth it for me to fly down(me staying in bangkok) and buy em at a ridiculous price. |

Don't see why it's hard to believe. All cars get better as the season goes, the problem is that some cars get more better than others - BMW simply fell back a bit with the pace of development of other teams.
Besides their performance simply seems to swing a lot from race to race, depending on the track's characteristics. The car has been known to be difficult to setup since the very first winter tests.
I haven't seen any slump from Kubica... let's see the races since his Montreal win:
- France he finished 5th, Nick outside of the points(!)
- Silverstone he made a mistake - the only one of the entire season - and crashed out. Nick did probably his best race of the year and finished 2nd.
- Germany he'd finish ahead of Nick if not for the safety car which benefited Nick big time.
- Hungary he qualified 4th, while Nick was 16th(!!), the car was clearly in this twisty circuit, and he could only save a point, finishing 8th. Nick finished 10th.
- Valencia he went into the podium, Nick again finished outside of the points.
- now in Spa they seemed to be close, Nick won qualifying for a change, then in the race Kubica would've finished ahead if not for a messed up pitstop and Nick's good gamble with the tyres in the end.
This hasn't been as consistent as his start of the year, but it's not too bad neither... |
