Kubicas crash there 2 years ago was crazyyyy.. anyhow i guess this opens up a spot for hopefully another track with more passing.

the taste of things to come:

Trance Nutter
Either front wing needs to be 10% smaller or the track needs to be increased a tad.

Its just a touch out of proportion

Having said that, trust me it'll grow on you. I've been looking at those pictures for about a day now (since the test session in Barcelona began which was about 24 hours ago now) and its not as 'off' to me now as when I first saw it.

i hope so, cause it looks pretty ed up right now :p

I like the cleaner look of the new cars. The rear wing looks funny and I agree with Trance Nutter that the front wing is out of proportion to the rear. I'm guessing that this is to compensate for the lack of front aero when following closely so if the theory holds, we should see some better attacking duels next year.

I like the lack of winglets most. The cleaner cars look better.

The cars will be wider in 09, so it should look better proportion-wise
I already got used to the looks, and like them

Yeah I thought I heard that they were going to be wider but couldn't remember exactly.

.............

jeez the Williams with the new aero looks best of the lot. I actually like it a lot, not only cos its a Williams. I think cos its got the lower nose it just makes the wing sit a little nicer, and it doesn't have the massive box winglets on the endplates. Without the box winglets too its much more in proportion, in fact its exactly the size I had in mind when I made the comment before about it needing to be smaller.

In fact, based on that pic and one other I've seen, I think the Williams looks fantastic.

Honda quits F1 (official announcement pending)

Honda will quit Formula One on Friday, BBC Sport understands.

The Japanese company hopes to sell its team, which costs £200m a year to run, but is prepared to close the team early in 2009 if no buyer is found.

Sources told BBC Sport the team were "optimistic" they would continue, but no investor had yet been found.

However, according to the Reuters news agency, team bosses Ross Brawn and Nick Fry fear Honda could close the Brackley-based team within weeks.

According to a Reuters source, Brawn and Fry told a meeting of the Formula One Teams' Association: "They have a month to find a buyer, otherwise they are closing the team

How so? I know f1 just signed a huge sponsor so money is not that big of a problem in f1 yet... i saw it somewhere on the news.

that's F1, not the teams. Have you heard of the car industry crisis ?

Ian
I'm not surprised, they were the worst performing team last year & way behind teams like force india & torro rosso in achievement. It does leave a mess though unless someone comes in & sorts it. Perhaps it's time for Schumacher to begin his own team to make numbers up :p

Thats a revolutionary idea you've got there, a racing league with no teams.

Give Bernie or Max a ring, getting rid of the teams will remove 9 of their problems
