I have serato without the external power source and i have no complaints at all.

Serato FTW!!!!

Here's a small list of DJs that use Serato, or have used it until they decided to remix live. I still haven't seen a professional DJ use Torq, or seen a club with a Torq install.

Paul Van Dyk
Sasha
Deep Dish
DJ Am
MSTRKFT
Tommy Lee
Benny Benassi
Pete Tong
Max Graham
Satoshi Tommie

Are you suggesting it doesn't cater to EDM DJs? Please, tell me you're not.

i don't know where you came up with that but no...

i know woody spins some hip-hop so i threw that in there. He listed mostly edm dj's so i thought i'd give it a twist.

but for real, for real ~ due to latency issues and stability problems with other programs, Serato has become the #1 choice in the hip-hop world by far(and i'm sure the edm world too).

i was just implying that there is less debate about serato vs. torq vs. final vs. etc.. w/ hip-hoppers. it's common knowlege ~ if you wanna spin audio files, you get serato!

sorry i ruffled your feathers koolaide ;) i would have hated to see what would have happend to me if i was suggesting that serato doesn't caterto edm djs [shakes in boots]

I woulda jumped through your screen! Haha, nah, it's all good :)

anyone know why serato bpms all my tracks over 140 as say a track at 140 as 70 or a track at 142 as 71?

is there a way to manually correct them?

cheers

Yep, double click the bpm of the track so it becomes a text edit box, then it shows a more accurate decimal. Pop that into the calc, x2, and replace the BPM in serato with that.

when i click the bpm in serato nothing happens. you're talking about the bpm displayed on the right hand side of the virtual deck?

No, in your crates, there is a column that displays the BPM.
