I've never had a harder time finding ppl in Guvernment in my life.
Me and New Guv just dont click like me and Old Guv, where I swear I could find anyone in a span of 5 minutes! ;)
I ran into a good number of TAs, but not nearly 1/2 that I knew were there, and many not until the VERY VERY end of the night... not lying, within the last 1 hour, and several not until OUTSIDE!! :wtf:
And I was entirely sober anything in my system -- beer or otherwise.
Where were some of yall hiding. I kept moving around Guvvy too... Only staying and dancing in the same place for maybe an hour or two. Then I'd move off do a search for other ppl I knew were present (and notn find) and end up dancing in a new spot.
Oh well, atleast variety is good, kept things fresh. :)
Quickly, bc im work, but one of my more incredible nights at all... in recently hisorty anyways, from about 2006 on. Most nights at Guv in teh past year or more alwasy feel like busts to me, im never that impressed.
Well, I certainly was last night. Only caught the last 10 mins of Blacke's set, but enjoy those 2 or 3 tracks.
I really liked Schulz's opening track and thought he set began strong and was incredibly into it. I thought he was really into it as well, which was nice to see.
By the end of Schulz's 3 hours, I was loosing some steam, but not nearly as mcuh as I thought Id' have been.
Then Menno came on (first time seeing him live) and i was figuratively BLOW AWAY.... incredible. He was much harder/faster than I had expected from others comments in the past, but WOW did i ever appreciate his pace. THought his set was perfect -- one of my fav trance ones in years. He stole the show generally I think for me.
Then Rank 1 came on, the DJ i was looking forward ot hearing the most and WOWzers! Loved the way he decided to just mix it up and throw down the tunes he did. It didnt sound like a typical Rank 1 set to me (well, i havent D/Led any new sets of Piet's in over a year, so im not sure if he has changed his style of not), but i ing loved that.
At times, I was hearing some almost great techno. It was techy and it was hard. Loved the tunes. Thank you Piet for mixing up at the end of the night. I thought I was tired after Menno, but then you came on, and about 20-30 mins in, I was going crazy all over again. Everythign got truly magical for me sometime after 6:20.
Heard Airwave... FANTASTIC! I will NEVER get sick of hearing that tune EACH AND EVERY TIME Rank 1 is in town!
When things got shut down at 7:20 and I grabbed my coat, I left the Guv feeling so incredilby satisfied. Wonderful, wonderful night, and I left feeling happy i decided to come out again for this night. :D
Met some new TAs, saw many familar faces, but didnt see so many othes that i knew were there. That was the only disappointing factor of the night -- wish i could have. Oh well, the night was incredible regardless though.

I think the two songs of the night for me were Yahel - Voyage and Rank 1 - The Awakening (when he held the breakdown, the song went silent... I actually thought the night was over until the main part hit haha)

Holy crap, the party was insane. Also it being my first event ever...
Blake Jarrell was okay i felt he was a little slow. picked up towards the end tho great lead into Markus which utterly destroyed the room and blew me away. Menno was totally awesome i heard he recorded his set if so where can i find it? Rank-1 ive wanted to hear him since i first heard Airwave a while back. I can safely say this was one the best nigths ive had in years
