I am just going to say that his set was nowhere near as good as his 6 hour set that he played here in September!

I took a video of that track and I'll post it up soon... blew my mind as well!!

Great night, great times, AMAZING new lasers SRSLYWTF!!!
Bass was a little overpowering. Rank 1 Opened the mostly insanley bass-driven track I ever heard (Piet, please ID you opening track for me) :D

Markus destoryed as usual, dropped an EPIC UPLIFTING track right at 3am if anyone knows??? Menno was great again, VOYAGE was Highlight of the night though!!

Hey all, long time lurker here who finally was able to get out to one of these fabled events. I was pretty shy last night/this morning so I don't think I got to meet anyone, but I was the guy with the beard *attempting* to dance up near the front right of the stage for most of the night. Hopefully I'll get a chance to chat with some of you partiers next time!

But yes, as for the show I loved it! Caught the very end of Blake's set which sounded pretty decent; plenty hard and lots of energy there. Then Schulz came on and totally blew me away . I thought that the tracklisting was really good (first time hearing Year Zero & Another You Another Me live; yes they're old but good imho), and his closing mashup of Big Sky was fantastic! I kind of agree with 1sashenka in that sometimes the set seemed to lose direction a little bit, but overall it felt great. Then Menno De Jong came on and it kept getting better. I really liked the more instrumental pieces he played; still lots of energy but it seemed a little mellower after Schulz's set. I still have that Daisy tune stuck in my head (Track ID?). I'd definitely see him again if/when he comes back to T.O. Really sad I couldn't catch Rank 1, but I hear it went over pretty well.

Also, kudos to the Guv's new light system. It's probably old hat to most of you, but the renovations turned out awesome. Whoever was running it did a great job, and the setup they have now is awesome!

got in just after 12 (due to a very slow guestlist line:mad: ) but blake had a good opening set going. not my kind of style but i can respect that he was opening and was doing a good job at doing it.

when markus came on, i wasn't feeling his mix at all. maybe it was the crowd affecting me but i didn't really enjoy his set, except for those few tracks that i liked. there was just something missing in the set that i can't put my finger on. comparing his set to the others i heard before, this one has to be the worst one. oh well, there'll be plenty more times to hear him again.

menno had a really good set imo. much better than when he was here in july for his first time. very uplifting and trancey track selection which i loved. i think it was good that it was only 1.5 hours long because it didn't give him time to play any filler tracks.

rank 1 i only saw the first half hour or so because i left so i can't really comment on the set. but if it was as good as other times, i'm sure it was killer.

highlight of the night for me...4 words...AS THE RUSH COMES

i was so happy hearing that after i requested it in the roll call thread. it was great hearing the whole place singing along.

great seeing sooo many people out for this one. it really felt like an old viva night where all the TAs were present. hopefully there'll be this kind of attendance for jon o'bir.

here are my pics.

when you have a booth you have a right to tell people to leave. if they dont listen you can just get security. we do it every weekend. thats why i asked if you wanted anyone kicked out but you said everyone was cool. there was a bouncer by the railing that knows me and i could've had it done.

we tried speaking to the bouncer and he did nothing.

Markus was mindblowing but I really think that the highlight of the night was Menno. Just played dirty tune after dirty tune. That coupled with the new lasers......WOW!!

I never knew Trance can be dirty lol

Yeah, it's not a typical 'Markus' set that we're used to, but even on recent Global DJ Broadcast it's not the same sound either. Definitely not as good as his 6 hour set last year.

let's not into GDJB's :) cos they're usually much different to what he plays in clubs anyway
no Mr. White or Drumbeat unfortunately :(

Leon Bolier - Oceandrive Blvd was also huuge!

it's always still so mind blowing to walk into a club and hear your own tune :) it was so cool when I ran into you during A&B's set there last year and they dropped "Sex on the beach" how convienient eh.
