Yeah, it's not a typical 'Markus' set that we're used to, but even on recent Global DJ Broadcast it's not the same sound either. Definitely not as good as his 6 hour set last year. |

i must say - amazing night!
Markus schulz destroyed me...his set was amazing. I can see where some would be unhappy since it was more on the trance side but for dancing it up with frieds..def hit the spot
menno was actually good...i've seen him before and never really liked his sets but last night, he was uite good. great vibe and buildup.
lasers were intense and the overall vibe was great. as usual, way too many shady people rammed into one space but overall good times. |

AMAZING NIGHT!!!
Walked in as Markus was stepping onto the decks... his set was phenomenal. I've seen him twice before this, and they were both incomparable to last night's set! The mash-up of "As the rush comes" and "Big Sky" had me jumping up and down like a little girl in a candy store! :eyespop:
Menno was incredible. Last time he was here, i fell in love with him. His presence on the decks and his vibe with the crowd blew me away. Constantly jumping up and down while doing the fist pump is Menno's persona... LOVE IT!!
Met a couple of TA's from Montreal and Vancouver that came to TO for Contact... very impressed.
Ali from Montreal was a first-timer @ Guv, and was completely blown away with the sound, lights, and vibe from all the ppl. He came down alone for the weekend to see Markus... what a trooper!
All in all... GREAT NIGHT!!!

Markus Schulz (8/10)---> Markus Schulz was really good, Perspective Space and as the Rush Comes never gets old,lol.
Menno De Jong (9.5/10)---> I think he played the best out of all of them. I did't know what to expect. But wow he played some wonderful trance. He made me like melodic trance again. Now I know why there was so much hype around him. Some please compile a tracklist of his set.
Rank 1 (8/10) ---> He was good too, he played some good beats. Life Less Ordinary remix was great. He played other good tunes like Energy 52 - Cafe Del Mar.
overall (9/10) ---> The new lazers didn't make a big difference. But I still loved watching it. Overall it was an amazing trance event. Tons of fun! |
