Berlin Love Parade, I need your help (pg. 10)

OK I have booked my flights!
Here's what we're doing:
9th July: Get a flight to Stansted London from Newcastle. To get a cheap flight we will have to go early morning, and stand around for 24 hours :(
10th July: Getting a 6am flight to hamburg, will arrive at 9am. DJ Mdma will get the next flight and arrive at about 7pm (it is more expensive, but a more convenient time). We will kill those 7 hours in Lubeck, or head into Hamburg, maybe visit a sight or two.
Then we're not sure how we're getting to Berlin. Car sharing agency/ coach/ train/ hitchike. Whatever is the cheapest and will get us to Berlin in time goes.
I have booked my flight back for the 23rd, so that I can go out on the lash the weekend after Love Parade (I'm assuming friday/Saturday is the best partying night of the week in Germany like it is here), and also check Berlin's sights etc. |

hi there MDMA and evil bastard! Just had a look at this thread for the first time.
10th of July is a wednesday, right? You should definately stay in Hamburg then, and visit Club "Devil Mania" at EFX/Voila. Good hardtrance parties with cheap admission (maybe I can get us in for free).
I think the cheapest way to get to Berlin is by bus. But I'm not sure. Will check on the prices and post here...
*edit*: found a two way ticket Hamburg/Berlin for 35 €. One way is 22 €.

Me is hoping to get on the Blank&Jones truck. Last year we had the chance but only for 2 people. That sucked, because there were 8 of us

Those are good deals! I didn't realise it would be so cheap. Would you be interested in meeting up if you are in Hamburg at the time?
The airport in Lubeck I think is about 10 miles from hamburg itself. Do you know any cheap buses from Lubeck airport to Hamburg?
Is Devil Mania a Wednesday night event? I will still be in the Germany the weekend after Love Parade, so I want to go out on the Friday/Saturday and I'm keen to look for any good mid-week trance/techno parties in Berlin or Hamburg.

Sure I'd want to meet up! That's why I posted the Devil Mania thingy:)
Lübeck is not 10 miles from Hamburg, but more like 38 miles. But it's possible to reach it in less than 30 minutes (Autobahn:D)
about the bus:

Yes, Devil Mania is a regular wednesday night club. Until 3 years ago, Gary D was the resident DJ there, now it's DJ Yanny who makes the Energy Trance compilation and is pretty good, too.

Hopefully it will work out. The organizer also had a truck for G.Move which he cancelled two days before it happened :( But I have high hopes, cause he had a float in Berlin for the last four years and I was with him the last two years. So if his float happens, I will be there (and spinning:)). Feel free to get my attention by shooting me with waterpistols/holding up signs/flashing;)/whatever... |
