A lot of British people don't like to be considered "Europeans" and get annoyed when Americans come to London and talk about "Europe". I don't know why, I guess it's just snobbery.
Britain basically hates everyone :D Everyone here thinks we have a long rivalry with the Germans (in terms of football). In truth, we hate the Germans and the Germans don't care because you're a better football side anyway. We also have this really tense rivalry with the Argentinians over an incident over a decade ago, we always joke about the French, we laugh at the Irish, ignore the Scottish, fight with the Turks, and basically pick fights with everyone.
It's a bit like how the Scottish hate the English football team and they think we hate them, but in truth noone here really gives a about the Scottish because their team is e :D It's an inferiority complex methinks.
I would like us to join the Euro; I want to go on holiday more and changing currencies is a pain in the arse. I think we will eventually :) |

Lam, all I know of the location of campsites is from maps on the net and they look quite a way from the centre, virtually on the outskirts of 'greater' Berlin. However, one of them appears to be by a thick line going right into Berlin (my mapreading skills are crap ;) ) which looks like an important main road. I will ring them tommorow. I would ring them all and ask about transport, but ringing Germany costs a canny bit.
We need to exchange phone numbers pretty soon as well. Lam, do you know if Vodafone's rates will go up when I call people while I'm in Germany? |
DONT USE YOUR PHONE TO PHONE BACK TO ENGLAND! When you're in Germany, prices are EXTORTIONATE! WE are talking up to £1.50 a minute! and it costs, for you to RECIEVE a call, at a cost of £0.99 a minute as well!
I think u have my number already? And I think i have ur's anyway as well.
I don't mind wherever we eat, a resturant would be cool, we could all have a MASSIVE table and we could all chat and stuff. Alex, I'm sure we wouldn't spend that much at the resturand, probably only a tenner for the whole meal and such. |
