FYI:
The Red Wings are at home for the Stanley Cup Finals on Saturday night AND Monday night, so plan your drive and parking accordingly. The Tigers are home this weekend as well, parking and traffic is going to be a issue.

Hello MWTA,
I get in at around noon on Friday, coming in from NYC. The guy I'm staying with is out of town and I won't be able to get into his place until 7 pm, and my friend doesn't get in until a little before that.
Anyone have any suggestions on what I can do in the meantime in this desolate city?
I'm coming in on a greyhound bus.
right now the only option i can think of is to play nickel slots for seven hours at the mgm grand |

how expensive is detroit btw?
also, how badly do the venues around detroit try to rape you for money? the most of the detroit venues i've seen online don't look so polished, so i'm hoping that means no $16 drinks or other BS :p |

LOL .. its not that bad. But yeah there are some good museums like the MOCAD and the DIA. Other than that there isn’t much to do in the daytime other then go to the casinos.

Detroit is about as cheap as a major city can get. Most of the venues are not clubs. They are more lounges and dive bars that are turned into venues which is the best part. Drinks won’t be to expensive but it just depends on where you are going. Expect between 3-5 a beer and 6-10 for a mixed drink.
Just one more day .. going to be a long one. |
