enough of my rant/.02 i gotta get back to work:p

I totally agree.. as he may still lay down a kick ass set and better than most even when not really trying its so much fun at PVD partys. Everyone is just going nuts and the enegy is awesome. You get to see so many faces all night long that you dont normally get to see and it that makes the night, not just the music. But im sorry my friend his Roxy sets may have been off the wall and some of the best but if you have never been to TWILO for PVD then man u havent seen annyyytthhiinnnggggg hahahahaha.

sick ass party. insane, hard tracks just the way it should be.

:disbelief:

anyways, a few times during the night i swear i was like, "damn didn't we just hear this?" but otherwise definitely badass. security seemed to be a lil too wild - getting kicked for smoking 1 cig?

glad i didn't miss it. def will be in attendance for aug 16th.

3rd vid was
Paul van Dyk Feat. Rea Garvey - Let Go (Vandit Club Mix)

Man I hope its at Tobacco Warehouse that would be siick!! I hope MADE had had the foresight to get the permit stuff outta the way and various budgeting/planning to secure the venue.

predictable... saturated... commercial... shameless...
antiquated... etc... but suddently all changed after 4:14
am... sadly trancenergy for < than 1hr overall, i guess paul
has his financial priorities clear instead of playing the
best possible tracks every minute

true, maybe he doesn't play the same anymore like he used to, but we should be grateful that he hasn't changed as drastically as other big dj's like sasha & digweed, lol. those guys used to be my idols but then they changed their style so drastically that I stopped seeing them completely, I won't even see them for free now. pvd I still see, cause he stays true to his style and he hasn't changed in a major way, but that's just this fan's opinion. besides, his sets are like 6 hours so there would be something in there for everyone.
he's not that bad recently, 2 yrs ago at roseland he played one of the most satisfying sets I ever heard from him. he dropped a classic out of the blue that I always wanted him to play in twilo, lol-jamnesia's my memory is back, a track that has classic pvd written all over it. however the last time I saw him at summerstage in 06, I didn't care for his set at all. he plays a bit different for the outdoor summer events I guess, mostly just hi nrg trax and then the regulars like for an angel etc.
one thing about a pvd party that hasn't changed for me is that I feel that excitement and start getting pumped for the show days before, and after the show I still have that energy in me for weeks where I'm like in instant party mode and ready to dance, lol. yes, pvd is tradition

it amazes me how many of you attended this party and are seemingly nostalgic for pvd of a few years back, yet no one cares or acknowledges he played two productions released 5 and 8 years ago - two of his very best and never overplayed tracks. :eyes:
