how is that any different then cheering for the home town team or cheering for some Canadian in an Olympic event that you have never seen before. |
I wasn't aware that DJing and music production was now considered a sport. |

What? LOL There's a big difference! First off, as activate pointed out, djing/producing != sport.
Secondly, I would love to see an athlete refusing to compete because his opponent had made fun of him LOL. Are you kidding? |

why wouldn't he totally ignore the guy, rip that club a new ...not even acknowledging a jealous attention whore is usually the best revenge.
this whole thing sounds like something you'd expect from pre-pubescent girls.. |

Come on Matt, you must agree that 'respect' (or lack thereof) plays a huge part in this. I don't know Deadmau5, don't know his tracks or his peronality but what I do know is that he was disrepected first (as far as my limited knowledge of the event goes).
As my signature says, 'Don't with a ******'.
Do I think it is childish? Yes. Do I think it is a case of 6-of-one-and-half-a-dozen-of-another? Yes. |

the reference was to others feeling pride because someone from their hometown has accomplished something....it is no different then feeling pride when someone wins a medal for canada in the olympics. |

I feel proud cuz I went to high school with Jully Black and it's nice the school produced someone that is a success in the music industry...I guess i'm not supposed to feel pride cuz she's not a sports figure..
Why would it matter what kind of industry the person makes it in..sports, entertainement....dj'ing...same dif... |
