for freakin REAL dude. We def didnt deserve the win, but to be honest the ref job's this whole series has been majorly one-sided. And as much as I have known since the beginning that there was no way the rangers could pull off the series, it would also be great to get some good calls in. Good/bad calls can often change the attitude and spirit of the players, and maybe at the very least the rangers coulda had more "ooph." pissed me off!  |
The good new is, is that for the first time in I don't know how long, the Rangers have a core group of really good, really young players -- Dubinsky, Staal, Girardi, Dawes , Callahan, Lundqvist, maybe even Korpikoski who supposedly lit it up the last half of the year in Hartford. I love Shanahan but I think he needs to retire. I'd like them to bring Jagr back for another year and Avery. And for the love of God, DO NOT RESIGN ROSIVAL!!!!! He's horrible, I hate him. |

I never would have thought the Flyers would make it this far.
BRING ON SID THE KID!!!!
I don't think anyone can predict what is going to happen but both teams are def. going to beat the snot out of each other. |

I'm as unbiasd as I could be here but Lundqvuist made them work their asses off during Round One and most of Round Two. He only came to play for the past two games so I would hardly say he deserved better. Jagr deserves better as he was the only one that consistently played well. And Avery deserves.... well... Avery deserves what he got. |

i agree with all but the avery thing. the last goalie i saw who deserved better from his club was j-s giguere in 2003, he carried that team on his back straight to the stanley cup finals where he won the conn smythe and lundqvist is nothing like jiggy was that year. did he play well in the last two games definitely but in game three he wasn't close to being a peasant let alone a king. does he need help up front...most definitely. i understand the disappoint but think of all those years without a playoffs appearance. the team these past two seasons has been something so ranger fans should be proud of their team.
as for jagr, he's fantastic and always has been. at age 35 or whatever it sucks not winning a cup but he has two cups with pittsburgh and imo he should be honored to have played alongside the most talented player to have ever played the game of hockey. do i really "feel" for jagr, shannahan, drury or gomez...not really because they've all won before.
this victory for pittsburgh has been a long time coming...the ups and downs of whether the city could keep the team, all the top draft picks for being terrible, their best player coming back to buy the team, forfeiting all his lost money, the possibility of seeing them shipped to kansas city and of course watching the team purge itself of all its assets (inc jagr). there has been a lot of disappoint in pittsburgh and only recently have times changed so i'm elated for the club. although my favorite team is in colorado, pittsburgh is a very close second.
anyhow, if i remember correctly philly has beaten pittsburgh the last two times they've meet in the playoffs so they've had their time...i expect results very different from those in 2000. in 1997 the flyers beat mario et al in what i thought was mario's last game and i actually hoped they could beat detroit in the final but they failed miserably...one of the worst series i have EVER seen in my entire life.
anyhow rambled but yeah i want pittsburgh and dallas to meet in the finals ;) (fyi ranger fans joel lundqvist plays in dallas so at least one lundqvist can make a showing at the final). |

Should have seen where it all was going though...When the first game in the Igloo when the Rangers were up by 3, then managed to loose 5-4.. WTF!
I sure hope Jagr takes another year in blue...If not two. He's on top of his game when he needs to... Concidering he wasn't ALL that in the regular season. |
