I have, however, warmed up to the driving mechanics significantly.
I'm on my first safe house of my own, the third of Roman's. |
fo' sho'. I have definitely warmed up to the mechanics, but I still don't care for the mechanics all too much and I hate racing missions to begin with.
I haven't gotten far enough to have my own hideout. I spent some time doing the multi-player which is impeccably fun for the most part. |

| What are you all blabbing about? Brucie is one of the best GTA guest characters ever. He's so funny. |

He's about as funny as getting kicked in the balls.
Easily my least favorite character in the history of GTA, which makes sense, because he's a perfect representation of every douchebag, muscle bound asshole I've ever met.
So long as the game doesn't force me to, I won't do another mission of his. |

| I gotta say... I'm about 35% into the game, and Little Jacob is definitely my favorite character so far, seen? |

Parents vs game hysteria has reached a new level in Belgium imo.
Normally parents are complaining about the fact that their kids had acces to any of the previous GTA installment, now on the other hand they complain because their kids can't play it...at least not on their ps2's
According to the journalist parents are becoming more and more concerned with the frequent release of console specific games. (Fair enough. it can be annoying that your kids screams for Mario Kart Wii when you bought a 360, but it has always been like this.)
The funniest or most worrying this that parents now feel they are forced to buy either a ps3 or xb 360 so their kids can play GTA IV.
First of, GTA IV is meant for adults (or at the very least young adults). They should be able to buy their own or at least save for it.
Secondly, parents are expecting producers to keep on making cross-platform stuff. The end result usually ends up as being something average at best on any platform.
Thirdly, the most baffeling thing is that they now start complaining about kids not having acces to something that they would scream rape and murder about if the had.
As a last note I also like to point to the journalist for being an idiot as he states that companies who make promotion for a game release on a few of many consoles are playing a dirty game. Apparently companies are expected to make GTA en Halo 3 releases for the Amiga aswell....

Without trying to spoil anything for anyone, the "robbery" mission (those who've played it will know which one I'm talking about) is one of the most epic gaming experiences I've ever had
Brilliantly executed. |

| SO guys...Is this game worth getting a PS3 for? I can't believe how high the reviews are for the game...tons of 90-100% ratings...nothing lower. |

yea thats a lot to shell out just for one game. If thats your main interest, get the 360 for sure. |

| Before you go out and by any of the two check around which system has the most games that appeals to you (not that i makes much difference with the endless franchises). It would be a pity to buy one system if games you'd like to play appear on another. |

Do you want a Blu Ray player?
If so, then yes. Get the PS3 version.
Do you want the option to have DLC?
If so, get a 360.
That's pretty much the only major differentiating factor - both systems will wind up with libraries that are remarkably similar, and will both have the same ratio of solid titles in the end. |
