The single ignorant comment you made about having too much dependence on oil outweights anything assinine I can say for the rest of the year. I am willing to bet that at this very moment you're either wearing or sitting next to number of things that would not be possible without oil.
Here are some
Car Fuel/Diesel
Aviation fuel for planes
Credit cards
Plastic bags
Hair brushes
Anti-freeze
Motorcycle Helmets
Carpets
Telephones
Brake fluid
Boats
Glue
Toilet Seats
Shampoo
Household paint
Detergent
Bowls
Fertiliser
Explosives (that one we can do without)
Tires
Artificial turf
Sneakers, shoes, flipflops
Lipstick
Weed killer (that one is trivial, eh Rob? depends in which sense)
Parachutes
Umbrellas
Food wrappers
Shower curtains
Waterproof coats
IV dispensers
Artifical limbs
Roads
Bubble wrap
Drink bottles
Toothbrushes
Life jackets
Fishing line
Tennis rackets
Roller blades
Eye glasses
Lunch boxes
Flower pots
Toys
Car seats
Insulation
Nail polish
Hair spray
Medicines
Insect repellant
Golf balls
Shopping bags
Computer cases
Disks
Keyboards
Turntable mats
...and so on. |

Isn't it strange about how an discussion on rising gas prices and the alternative solutions for oil has turned into an interesting history lesson on all the wonderful contraptions that wouldn't have been possible without oil?
I kind of feel like this has turned into a bad after school special - but I like it. I like it a lot. |

Aren't you glad most of your tricks don't share this mentality? Gas is going up, are you gonna raise your prices too? |

| She raises hers before gas does. Whores are always one step ahead, or giving it. |

Yeah, except there's not enough date rape or teen pregnancy. Plenty of homosexuality, though. :( |

QFT...namely, RJT admitting that this discussion is about rising gas prices and alternative solutions for oil.
