nevertheless, an amazing performance by Russia, should have not even been that close, they were running circles around them...they counterattacking football was not going anywhere, cause the russians just packed up the D and shot back with their counter attack (like I said, they are the best physcially team in the tournament and showed it)

i cant see them losing to turkey, with all the injuries and cards....so their in the final, but spain will eat them for lunch just wait....or even russia, they'll outrun them

so far, all the 2nd seeds (germany, turkey and russia) have beaten the 1st seeds (portugal, croatia, holland)
i pray this statistic will remain true for italy's sake......but i really can't see how we can beat spain

What a solid performance, the russians diplayed today. Netherlands was not bad as many may think but the Russians were too good for anyone to beat them.
Russia gave today an example on how good team work beats teams with big names although Russia has a couple but not as known as Holland. I am sure alot of them are already targets for big clubs. I was really glad that the game ended 3-1 not 2-1 coz 2-1 wouldn't represent what happened really in the games. The Russians domintaed. Big Congrats for the Russians and another acheivemnt for Hiddinks after what he did with South Korea.
As for tommorow's game, from what happened in the last 2 days, noone can predict who will win but I am confident that the Azzuri will send the Spaniards back home :toocool: |

Hiddinks is simply the in' man.
The Russian side plays with a desire to win unlike any of the euro teams that simply "expect" to win. Mind you, Germany wouldn't be SO bad but I do hope Russia goes far. |
