england have made one smart move by signing a decent coach = Capello
he's the perfect guy to direct in that ego-camp....guy takes no from nobody
if they develop a little more their youth squad (which isn't the best at the moment) they can be a threat in WC '10 |

England has a perfect balance between young and experienced player. There is no issue there. There main issue is playing as a team. Erickson took it really easy on the players and could not handle the big number of super stars on the team. Capello is different, either you play well and in the way I want or your are out. Best example is Real Madrid, although Ronaldo was a big mistake and he regretted it. |

theo walcott, the future. this kid is not normal. arsenal is really lucky to have him. hope wenger gives him more play time next season. not too sure whats capello's stance on him in terms of how much game time he gives him. the guys is too fast for his own goods. i see defenders starting to hack at those legs very soon. joe hart as well from manchester city. kids 20 and is an up and coming goalie in the premiere league. capello even even gave him the number 1 jersey.
englands youth systems are pretty admirable but are in no way compared to youth systems in other parts of europe. dont really see much from italy's youth systems. alot of serie players are at least over 24. from what i've seen at least. spain probably have some of the best youth systems. with barcelona raising messi and fabregas and a whole load of other teams.
i agree with 84th on this one. capello is a solid coach and is a perfect fit for the england lads lol . the teams full of ego's with some very highly paid players. sven is a good coach but as someone else said on the board, he's too weak to handle ego's. |

im talking about 'national' youth systems...ya Spain is good, but the best club youth systems is in England
if you look at teams like juve, milan, inter, your absoulty right, there is a lack of italian youth in these teams (which is sad), to find italy's up and coming youth, you have to digger deeper....teams like Empoli, Caglari, ect....
our next generation is looking better than the 06 WC winning squad...they just won the 08 Toulon Tournament not to long ago....our youth is the best in the world at the moment....very sold squad for the "Azzurrini"
