personally, i see nothing wrong with that. why waste money on high cost of living and give up a great support system just for a few years of independence? if you're the type that has to be "forced" to be independent, then maybe moving away from home is a good idea... but i think it's entirely possible to "grow up" while still living in the same house as your parent(s). |
Yeah, I agree Lucid. However, for some of us "studying abroad" we have to deal with independence and self-authority to a greater extent. On the other hand, living on your own can make you grow up in more ways than you can think of. It makes you understand your place and solitude can be great for you too. |

definitely. i certainly attribute a lot of my "growing up" and self-realization to my own experiences with leaving home at an early age and having to be fully independent ever since.
i just wanted to argue the other side of the coin as well. |

Just another way of saying I'm a lazy ****** who wants to be given instead of actually earning your own way. Has nothing to do with a country's culture. Make your own life instead of waiting for the parents to die so u can get a house, ya bum. |

there's a big difference between a lazy slob living in mom's basement eating Cheetos and Mountain Dew playing video games all day and someone who is working a full time job while living at home in order to save up money for a down payment on a house.
my guess is that you were the first type of person i mentioned, and your parents kicked you out because they knew what was best for you. |

About as closed minded an opinion as you can get, and seems to indicate more about your own failures than anyone elses.
Well played. |

Wrong yet again. Trying to justify your reasons to mooch off your parents is a shame. If u could read I said there was nothing wrong with staying for a little while to save up some cash for that purpose. Waiting for them to die to get the house is just plain sad. |

Apparently you're the one who can't read, because Myra never said anything about waiting for anyone to die.
Seriously though, way to dig in your heels on this one. This is really turning out to be one spectacular failure on your part, all around. |

Keep digging, buddy. You've already made clear that you're a closed-minded idiot with no prospects who is trying desperately to come off as intelligent and knowledgeable on a subject where you obviously don't have clue.
Keep tossing the insults, though - it really only adds to how funny this whole situation is, and how pathetic your attempt to justify your position is.
