Interesting to see the hype gradually build with anticipation. I have to admit Heath Ledger was a great actor, but I didn't think so at first. What really caught me by surprise was Heath's daring role in Brokeback Mountain (which i never saw, all apologies) along with the edgy role of Bob Dylan in "I'm Not Here".
From what I heard Heath was pretty enthralled with his role as The Joker, so much that i heard comments that he would remain most of his spare time locked in his hotel room, watching all the different variations that his character has painfully gone through over the last two or three decades. I respect that in an actor, it definitely shows his passion for films. |
