If it is the state's responsibility then why did we create FEMA... the federal emergency management agency. Seems like federal government takes our money and some of our liberties so that we can have an agency specifically for these types of disasters.
I think people we were right to criticize FEMA and the federal government in this instance. |

The states didn't. The 'Federal' government did.
This is another reason or fore-father's didn't believe in big government. |

| I personally think FEMA should be dissolved. However in the world I live in FEMA exists, and therefore is subject to being held accountable for their mistakes and poor performance. |

your concern is legit, but most people don't know that. most people don't know the FEMA exists.
