it is frustrating for everyone......

however, we are paying more than them and we are not yelling end of the world.

personally, the increase has not affected me all that much...drivin to work is like 5 mins, i have a fairly small car, i avoid doing unneeded driving, i drive a small car and when i do road trips.....i bring pple with me and split the costs

funny thing is today i was in Markham and drove on the 404, not a single car in the commuter lane... pple arent changing habits....and a lane is wasted! (No i wasnt commuting...bad me....well i went on a course alone...so its justified)

morons and their SUVs and trucks

and it's 8-10 in europe.

We still have it pretty cheap. The diff is that europe and other places actually have decent public transport as an alternative. Plus their distances to drive are shorter.

typical...

you should care because oil prices are contributing to a rise in price for everything you buy. Especially food. Also, public transit requires fuel to run so you will end up paying for it through higher taxes or fares or both. The effects for you arent as immediate but they are definately felt.

Since i live and work downtown, I bought a scooter a month ago.

In the last month I've spent $23 on gas and $0 on parking.

I used to spend $15-$20 per day on Taxi's and TTC.

This occured to me yesterday when I was wondering why I had so much extra money this month.

Next spring I'm also going to get a bike for highway riding and longer trips.

That's why you drive defensively... hell it even says in the MTO motorcycle handbook to not drive beside cars. either stay behind cars in the ajoining lanes or stay slightly ahead of them. It's common sense really.

When i was doing some reading for my M1 test I recall reading somewhere that somethink like 25 percent of traffic accident fatalities are people on motorcycles, however nearly all of them are caused by the motorcycles driving too fast and agressively.

also, most accidents involving motorcycles in canada are caused by the driver taking turns at too high of a speed.

Do you get other guys wearing pink leather tooting at you on your pink Vespa?

Hahahah.

But seriously the only cool scooters are the Honda Ruckus and Big Ruckus.

not that scooters are masculin at all.. because they're not... but for downtown it's more practical then a bike because they're small and more manuverable and easier to ride in stop and go traffic. I actually know of quite a few longtime bike riders that also have scooters for every day shiz.

I got a derbi bullet which was the least fruity scooter I could find

I wanted the Aprilia GP1 250.. but it's pretty expensive and hard to get in Canada

Make Me Egg
What class drivers license must you have in order to drive a scooter?

I like the Ruckus because it's so utilitarian looking.
