Ok, since we have a thread about one famous love/hate movie, i wanted to see peoples views on Garden State.
I absolutely love this film. I watch it whenever i'm bored. Favourite scene is either when they're talking in the bath with Iron and Wine playing. Or The part where Zach Braff is tripping balls.
And lol at "Sheldon" from the Big Bang theory being in it.
Anyone else? Hate it? Love it? |

| I love some of the random in this movie, like when he wakes up in the morning and that dude is walking around in the squeeky ass knight outfit... and how her adopted African brother is always dusting for prints. There's some good dark humor in there too... ing great movie. Only thing that bugs me is that it's way too good to throw in a cliche ending with the whole "make decision at the last minute and get off airplane about to take off" scene. |

way too much overacting and it just tried too hard to be like lost in translation.

+1 although I liked it overall because I'm a sucker for Natalie.
Zach Braff needs to quit acting. |

Weren't they both filmed within the same timeframe, though? |

| well yea i'm not necessarily saying garden state literally copied lost in translation...just that they were both aiming for the same kind of movie/feeling, and sophia copolla nailed it...garden state...not so much...imo. |
