sounds like it was pretty random.. but that being said... he was carrying around a big ass knife on him, so maybe he did "plan" on doing something to someone and that kid just ended up being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
either way... bus in in the middle of no where, random guys gets gutted and beheaded.. crazy guy knife weilding guy in sunglasses calmly walking hacking him up and tossing his head around..
sound like something from a horror movie!
I'm curious to see what this guy looks like. |

"He cut (the victim's) head off and then walked up to the door holding it and just looked at them crazy-like and then dropped the head and walked back to the body and started cutting it some more," Olmstead told CTV News from outside a hotel in Brandon, Man., where he and other passengers were taken.
The man was left alone with the body and witnesses say that he performed further indignities to the victim.
"We have word from people on the scene . . . that when the killer was alone with the body . . . that there may have been some small acts of cannibalism on the body," Oliver said.

The attacker must be some mentally incapacitated person - otherwise I wouldn't be able to explain to myself how this can happen. If it was a revenge killing or something of the sort, I don't think it would be arranged this way...
It's a very brutal incident, though. |

I imagine that the "true" (defendable) cases of insanity must be backed up with solid medical evidence in court (such as several MRI scans, evaluations from neurologists, court-appointed expert witnesses)... at least it should work that way. A claim of insanity though is always a great attempt at alibi for criminals who commit extremely violent or gruesome acts - or rather for their defence lawyers - independent of whether it's valid or not, sadly... :( |

This is up there with Pickton and Bernardo in terms of the WTF factor. I guess it's more sickening because we've all been there, napped on planes, trains or buses without a second thought. With the Pickton story, I never thought "wow, I was just prostituting myself on the lower east side, that could have been me." So this hits close to home.
Yeah, I've never been so horrified as I am reading that story - I had to stop.
