Typical American, knows absolutely nothing unless Hollywood's done the film! Well you're a lucky boy cos one of the flag ship films at this year's Cannes Film Festival was a film about Che's revolutionary life (in two parts I think, one in Cuba and the other in S America) so keep an eye out for it! |
typical closet Marxist, thinks Cannes got the definitive answer for everything.
your hero was a douche and Cubans have lived in a cage for the last 60 years because he was such a monumental douche. |

No, he was rebeling against American imperialist, capitalism and neo-facism in Latin America. I'd hardly call that being a rebel for the sake of being a rebel.
|
So that above excuses him in your eyes....as long as he fought against the American system??
typical........
| quote: | Recent books by Humberto Fontova and Alvaro Vargas Llosa describe the real Che, and will hopefully cut down the number of his admirers. Among the lowlights, partly summarized by Fontova in this two part interview with CNS News (here and here), and by Vargas here:
1. Che was responsible for the execution of thousands of political prisoners in Cuba (most of them purely for their opposition to Castro's communist policies or for no reason at all).
2. Che enjoyed torturing and abusing the prisoners, including children.
3. Che was instrumental in setting up the Castro regime's massive forced labor camps and secret police apparatus.
4. Che tried to organize campaigns of terrorism against civilians in the US and elsewhere (though he largely failed in these efforts).
5. Far from being merely a Third World nationalist or pragmatic leftist, he was a committed, hard-line Stalinist, even going so far as to call himself "Stalin II" early in his career. |
how many Bolivians or Cubans did you grow up with that saw and experienced first hand what your Hero did in the name of "rebelling against American imperialist, capitalism and neo-fascism in Latin America."???
However, the same could be said about the puppet regimes that he was rebelling against as well, he just went about it in the wrong way..
no one was innocent during the times.... but to glorify Che... well is retarded...

it's amazing isn't it?
...but we're just "typical Americans" so we can't possibly have a qualified opinion on anybody that doesn't wear a cowboy hat or pisses on themselves about how repressed they believe they are. |
