Don't forget the fact that the "whites" started to speak of joining the new country to the east, in order to get out of paying their bills.....
started to make trouble, not paying taxes, running and crying to the US... after Mexico let them in as immigrants....
you could also touch on the slave issue as well, since many "white" immigrants were "using" slave labor and Mexico had abolished it around 1829 ...
and it can go on and on...... :D
too much wine....
good night
**oh yeah i for got: Yes, Mexico ended slavery early, they did not have the need for slaves, they had the leftovers of the ancients already there..why buy?

Guevara was a dick. anybody that wears his image on their person should be kicked in the vag. |
+1
On top of that he was complete failure in both Congo and Bolivia. People who wear shirts with his image on them are most likely completely ignorant of history |

The government has no right to put my communications or financial records under surveillance without a warning. PERIOD. I don't give my government unquestionable loyalty even if it was Obama in the White House. I'm telling you in this thread.. |

Dude dont worry the government would never go after your financial and communications records. They are to busy to get easily bored going through your records. All of a sudden this is a sensible issue for the far left. |

Characteristic of a right wing authoritarian follower (LATINLOVER):
#1. Authoritarian submission — a high degree of submissiveness to the authorities who are perceived to be established and legitimate in the society in which one lives. |

That's not limited to right wingers. |

If this was a Stalinist country, Latinlover would be the staunchest communist. You're right, it can be applied to all authoritarian regimes, left or right of the political spectrum. |

That's not really what I read. According to some letters, he just didn't have anything to do and decided to fight American imperialism simply because he had befriended a few rebels. |
What letters would those be? He started fighting against 'American imperialism' as a result of the disparity and poverty he saw in Latin America. Originally he started off just a med school student who offered his services to the locals during his trip. He became militant once he realized that capitalism had established puppet regimes all over Latin America that served the interests of wall street and not local farmers and workers who slaved away for them. He was attracted to communism and was a Marxist to a large degree but towards the end he did become disillusioned with it as well. He was disgusted by Castro and the way he politicized the Cuban revolution. The letter you're referring to, my guess would be, are from that period... probably to closer to the end when he was in Bolivia.

I don't see what's arrogant or conceited about it. Why answer when someone wouldn't understand it in the first place? Opinionated, maybe :p. |
