No, he was rebeling against American imperialist, capitalism and neo-facism in Latin America. I'd hardly call that being a rebel for the sake of being a rebel. You'll never heard about how he would treat injured and terminally ill soldiers / gorilla warriors of the other side because it doesn't make for good pop-culture story telling. |
That's not really what I read. According to some letters, he just didn't have anything to do and decided to fight American imperialism simply because he had befriended a few rebels.

Well, I used to be disappointed by people but I've come to expect an obvious manifestation of their insecurities now. Modern man is weak, and projects it all over the place. |
Huh? :conf: |

After all that work he has $4 a month left over. a bar of soap costs a dollar in cuba. Ironically this guy was named Ernesto after his parents Hero:
´In Cuba people with money don´t worry about the poor, just themselves. The people with the money don´t accept you and you just have to accept life the way it is, that you will never have money and live like them.´
´In a Capitalist system you got work you live, you don´t you die. Now with the Socialist system you always got work but thats not living, you only survive.'
´If you sleep what time can you spend with your family? You sleep your dead man. Your life is your life and any time free should be spent with what matters most.´
'When you say welcome to Cuba you say welcome to Hell my friend. Your body is a machine. Nothing left. Every day working. Can´t relax. Money for nothing.'
´Meat isn't important, thats material, not important, what´s important is to eat every day, not the quality of the food. Today I eat good but tomorrow what? What do I tell my family tomorrow?´
´My daughter tells me ¨When I'm a doctor Papa I'm not going to go overseas to work, I´ll stay here in Cuba because Cubans need me!" I believe in her.
its really sad :( |
Too bad about these people, they live this every day ......
Many of the ex Cuban pats that I grew up with were not rich, these people fled due to being labeled opposition thinkers to the "beard". I heard many times this exact thing as well....
Some of their fathers, mothers, children brothers and sisters died making the escape....
sad, |

But... I just wanted to point out that harsh criticism is (more) often (than not) something unfounded. Although, I admit, I'm biased against Che Guevara because, well, I live in Latin America :p |

among Latinos, just saying cause I know you are Brazilian :) , you hardly find middle ground, we either hate him or love him.
but then again, you can say that about many of the Historic Latino Revolutionary's,
the Alamo!!! ;) |

Do I have a reason not to be paranoid? Hmmm... I wonder why the telephone companies were given immunity to prosecution...hmmm... let's take a wild guess....privacy rights perhaps?
|
Are you involved in ANYTHING that would come under possible prosection? Illicit activities? If not, why are you so concerned and worried about Big Brother listening in on your telephone conversations? |

Basically a bunch of crazies holed up in a small fort refused to surrender and got slaughtered by the Mexican Army. |
