Im curious about your persistent "insecure" label you have been throwing around. Im certainly happy to admit I am insecure about certain aspects of my life, but in no way do I see any of that manifesting in my political philosophy or opinions about politics in general.
I mean, I come from an affluent society, with the world at my feet. I have all the toys I could ask for, I don’t hunger, I get a say in the choice of my governments. I have been lucky to be a student of one of the best education systems in the world. These factors have no doubt been paramount in the slow evolution of political consciousness I have had since I was about 14 [fascist=> radical socialist => fabian socialist => libertarian (of sorts) => liberal.]
Now, whilst I certainly haven't exhausted the reading list, ive nevertheless read some marx, chomsky, rawls, hume, locke, kant, rousseau, hobbes, hayek, berlin, nozick, marcuse, mill, as well as a host of lesser-known modern theorists such as aronson or kymlicka. Now, im not saying I necessarily understood all that I read, or that I finished each and every published work, but the point is I at least made the effort, and in so doing encountered all kinds of weird and wonderful ideas and their relationship to politics.
These would be my foundation for opinions I have held in the last decade or so, obviously counter-balanced with modern history (as good as some of these writers were, I still know more about the world than some of them coz they've been dead for a while).
Now, I would like to know in what way my current liberal centrist (if we are gonna bother with labels) opinions are somehow born out of "insecurity", rather than an (admittedly limited) appreciation of political theory and its role in modern society? Are you going to accuse some of the cornerstones of modern liberal society as possessing "insecurities" which is why they aren't anarchists/ignore false flags/disagree with your assessment of the political landscape/have widely different viewpoints generally?
Or have I completely missed the point? If so, I still want to know what "insecure" means as you choose to use it, and how on earth it relates to political understanding/philosophy. |

Dude its not you..... his history of posting on this board and how many times he has flown off the handle or called people names due to them questioning his own self deluded knowledge should of already answered all of your questions...

You as a moderator, are fine with s being on the lose. People act like s if they think they can get away with it, and you let it slide almost all the time. Even your standard of moderation is completely different from back in the day. That doesn't make any human being with the slightest sense of self respect or integrity want to participate in discussion as meaningful discussion is impossible when you have some degenerate talking , especially when they're not even part of the discussion. Your problem is that if anyone dares challenges your POV you label them a troll, or what ever. You sit here as if you are all knowing and your POV should be taking as gospel just cause of who you think you are. That is why you wanted to send Lira a PM, YOU DID NOT WANT TO BE CHALLENGED from anyone else.... thats a Cowards way of debate on a public forum...
You also fail to realize that you are on a public forum, so anything you post is up for discussion...Thats perhaps why Lira asked for you post your POV here, instead of the PM but you went off on some "UNRELATED" tripe filled rant that has nothing to do with the thread. Not only did you not give us your POV on Che you excused your self from it by hiding behind a rant, that you used to :
1st let us know that you were not going to give us a POV in public.
2nd. That you are a self professed badd ass
3rd. That you think everyone that does not agree wth you or calls your BS out, are pussies.
4th. That lira is slipping in his job as MOD
5th. That you are above everyone else
You were given a platform to give your POV to lira about Che, and what did you do?? ....
