I really think they have looked uning real the first three weeks of the season - but I'm not sure if I'm sold on them as this years guaranteed thing. I still think Jones and Owens could be problems for them later this year (Owens drops a lot of easy catches, Jones is looking outstanding thus far - but no guarantee he doesn't get a bit out of hand again).
I really think the Eagles, Seahawks, and Packers are all capable of beating them - and depending on whether or not they prove to be decent or terrible, I think the Bears and the Giants could be huge spoilers this season as well.

Unless someone major on the Cowboys gets injured (Romo, Barber, TO, etc) noone can beat them. It is possible they could beat themselves and give a game away though. The only thing I don't like about Romo is that when a play goes bad he tends to get careless with the football trying to make something happen that isn't there. He needs to learn when to throw it away or even just take a sack rather than risk an interception. Fortunately they do have the offensive weapons where they can easily make up for a few mistakes (like the Philly game). They just have so many offensive weapons and such a huge offensive line that even a good defense has trouble with them. |

| So far this season is fun to watch. Seeing some nice upsets. I love when NFL doesnt have teams that are obviously going to spank any team they come across. Watching the colt get served was great as well as that last Steeler game. Fun games to watch and didnt like either team. Just good football. |

They have only looked bad against the Eagles, which is the #2 or #3 team in the NFL. And the offense more than made up for it. |

The Redskins will beat the Cowboys this year.
Santana Moss will have a field day against the Cowboys.
As he always does. :P
Yes! You heard it from me first! Redskins will beat the Cowboys in a tight game! |

Also, lol at it taking this long for Millen to get the axe. I'm sure that made a lot of people in Detroit very happy this morning. |
Those teams would have to have the game of their lives on top of Romo giving them a few stupid turnovers. So basically only the Cowboys can beat the Cowboys. |

I don't buy that for a minute. Dallas is good, but they aren't that much better than the rest of the NFC, and aside from the faithful in Texas, I think a lot of the rest of the country feels Romo is still unproven, T.O. is fragile, and Pac-Man Jones is as inconsistent as they come.
There are just as many things, if not far more, that can go wrong for Dallas as there are that can go right. |

I agree with you on all of those points, but those are small weaknesses when you look at the overall system. So I still don't see anyone outright beating them. The Eagles and the Packers can definitely compete, but if Dallas plays a great game I don't think they have a chance.
I think you are nitpicking. Romo is unproven, but from what I've seen his is a good quarterback which is all we really need when you have a great offensive line. Jones was just an added bonus not a necessity and definitely not something that will make or break a season. And yes T.O. drops easy catches and is fragile, but he still draws double coverage and is always a deep threat. That alone keeps defenses honest and allows single coverage for some of our other receivers and sometimes man to man linebacker coverage on Witten which he will take all day. Not to mention the insane pass rush with Ratliff, Ware, Ellis, Hatcher, and co... Or the insane backfield of Marion the Barbarian and Felix Jones.
On paper everything works out, but games aren't played on paper and carrying a healthy roster through the season is a tremendous task. |

Its not that Romo is unproven (great QB during the season), its that he definately chokes against tough defences in playoffs. Until he can get rid of that playoff curse, he will always have the major blame in Dallas for never getting a win when it really counts.
AFC is completely up for grabs, havent seen any real dominant force like last years pats, indy, or chargers...so many good young teams and its way too early to perdict anything. The question is, are the Bronco's the real deal? are the Titans the real deal? How bout them Toronto BILLS!? |

I don't buy the Romo playoff curse crap. Yes, he ed up in some clutch situations but honestly I don't think Dallas had a good enough team to win the Superbowl those years anyway. If they did they wouldn't have been depending on a last minute field goal to win a wildcard game. Now if he blows a playoff game this year when they are clearly the dominant team in the NFL, then we will talk curse. |
