RIMM. I waited months for the new Bold to come out and they price it at $399 (before a $100 rebate) with 2 yr service!
Granted the bold is geared towards business users....how could they do that when pretty much every smart phone these days costs ~200.

Cancel your contract (i think it costs 120 dollars) and then get a 2 year contract. It would be chaper than buying one with out the contract.

When you do something new to your service or buy a new phone to get the lowest price, dont they offer you a "new contract" that starts that day?:conf:
When I bought my son a new phone, they said it would start a new contract for 2 years from the day I bought it. I was 5 months into my previous contract. It was no big deal to me, I dont plan on switching carriers anyways.

has nothing to do with 2 lines. My contract and my son's contract are 2 different dates...mine is Jan, his is Oct. When I changed his phone they said that line would be on a new contract for 2 years. Like I said, I dont care, I dont plan on leaving my carrier.

the most recent dates i've seen is for a 'VIP' launch on the 20th and open to everyone on the 24th.
i have a ipod touch so i'm very familiar with what an iphone would be....for business purposes any BB phone is better in regards to email and documents.

Works under the family plan.. like i said, some people are 1 person.
Maybe im not getting your point :conf: If you want a new phone and you still have your old phone, youre suggesting that he get a new contract while keeping his old line, making it 2 lines.

no, just renewing his current contract. meaning, if his contract were to end in 9 months, if he renews now, he gets the new contract with the new phone and is with his carrier for 2 years as of now. an example.
They just want you to stick around that much longer.

I'm on the waiting waiting list. I qualified for my upgrade in July. Almost got the Voyager. Glad I didn't.
I'm not big on the virtual keypads either but all the cool phones have them. At least with the Storm you can type length wise. I can't stand trying to text on the iPhone. A few reasons I didn't get one. That was actually one of the main reasons.
