Yeah, I love T-Mobile. My best experience with them was when they had a really good plan for cheap. I wanted that plan, but the promotion had expired about 2 months before. I called them up and they put me on hold so they could speak to a supervisor. When the lady came back she said that because I have a grandfather contract with them, and have been with them for a long time, they would give me that plan for that price! NOW THAT KICKS ASS!!!

Yeah dude. They are so ing awesome about like that. I really do love them. I have a real hate for AT&T but they have 3g AND the Touch Pro (aka the Fuze as they call it) that I really want. |

Also, if you want an iPhone 3g, the full proper unlock is coming. They have made some real progress on the baseband. ;) |
Its already there, i am trying it on my iPhone with prepaid T-Mobile. So far no problems. |

What's the deal over here with expensive phones?
In the UK they give you the latest phones for free if you sign for a 1 year contract or that contract is expiring.
And by latest phones I don't mean ones that only have a numpad and dial button.
T-mobile out here are the best by far in terms of customer service - their plans are also the cheapest easily by about 20%. The only problem is that in some less urban/populated areas their reception sucks.
Also, I don't think blackberry are ever going to kill the iphone - you need to be looking at the HTC phones.
I've had my HTC Kaiser for over a year and a half and it was the Iphone 3g killer a year before apple even launched it. I was like, oh you finally got round to HSDPA/3g? What even though the Kaiser is already on the next gen HSUPA (twice as fast)? What third party apps - You have to pay for them? touch screen, slide out keyboard, tilting screen (good for movie watching), 3m pixel camera, wifi, built in GPS, voice command, skype, 3 or 4 day battery life, etc etc.
seriously, I love my mac and ipod but Apple are just playing catch up and pushing horrendous prices and service plans (ATT) on their customers. |

You can do this with the 3G, but unless you are in New York you wont get the full 3G speeds because TMobile hasn't caught up with the 3G network over here. Sure they have 3G towers out in LA/SD and some scarce parts of the OC, but right now in all honestly its not even worth it.
You can shell out the extra cash and get a 3G, but right now its kinda pointless because you wont be running the 3G to the full extent. Besides that and GPS and the look, the 2G is the exact same just A LOT cheaper.
Even once the DEV team releases the unlock for the 3G iPhone
(after all the beta testing), people that will be selling them unlocked will want BANK for the phone. So why waste the extra money right now? It might be worth it down the line when TMobile is all 3G'd out over here, but right now its just a waste IMO. |

If you're professing your undying love for HTC phones, you obviously haven't had the misfortune of using the T-mobile WING. It was a complete nightmare.

LOL the wing was a ing 3yr old device repackaged and slight hardware revisions from the MDA/HTC Wizard. If you know your HTC devices you would have known that the wing was NOT an "upgrade" by any means from the MDA. ;)
Nero: There is no proper unlock that I have seen. Unless you can show me this? The stupid sim fix is bull. I hate that . It puts more stress on the sim card slot. |

I am beta testing something right now with 2.1. Me and a few hundred people were lucky enough to get the "beta" unlock that should be released in a few weeks. Right now its for 2.1, but they are waiting for 2.2 that comes out later on this months so they can release it with that.
Its pretty much a piggyback program that you run on the 2.1 jailbreak. You have to install it with Cydia. Like I said i was lucky enough to receive the notice and got the link to the source/package. Some people are having issues with the phone crashing running on this, but i havent had an issue like that yet. I am running my 3G with the unlock and my 2G with my regular ATT sim. |

Is this from the iPhone dev team or some other guys? I am very much so against the background process or sim card bs to deal with the lock. They should just flash it with a european firmware, modify the baseband for the unlock, and be done with it.
Or just take the easy way out and say YOU to the gay ass old tech iPhone and get a Touch Pro!!!!
For those that are unaware, the touch pro is below. :D

The thing is, people make a big deal about the thickness, but it is not as big as people make it out to be. Most peoples phones are quite close to being the same thickness as that thing is. The difference is the rest of the dimensions that people just like, ehh it is too thick. |
