HOK is a world wide monster. I actually applied there. Their work is really something I appeal to artistically.

I always admired architecture. Sometimes i like to draw random buildings or structures. I like modern design, especially the designs that you find in europe. I need to get out the take some pics of buildings.

I love Danish architecture... or even moreso, that whole region of Scandinavia (Sweden, Finland). There's so much interesting terrain there and no heavy urban areas, so designing something really challenges architects to make something that's one with the landscape (Alvar Aalto for example)... And "dig" that... no pun intended.....

i really like their work particularly in the world of sport. while i was at nyu two of the guys would fly in weekly to teach a class but unfortunately when i could finally take it they had to stop teaching because of their work load...couldn't commit the necessary time :(. that would have been an interesting class to take for sure.

Interesting interior design post on today's ArchDaily:

quote:
The project takes place in a former 1200 square meter anti-atomic shelter. An amazing location 30 meters down under the granite rocks of the Vita Berg Park in Stockholm. The client is an internet provider and the rock shelter hosts server halls and offices. The starting point of the project was to consider the rock as a living organism. The humans try to acclimate themselves to this foreign world and bring the ‘best’ elements from earth: light, plants, water and technology. We created strong contrasts between rooms where the rock dominates and where the human being is a stranger against rooms where the human being took over totally.

True!, now it they can make a club look like the above pics, that would be insane.
While I do like Modern interiors/buildings. I'm more old school. Like elaborate interiors with moldings, and lots of custom woodwork, fabrics, textures, etc.
