Pompous? :stongue: That's quite the word. I'm meticulous at what I do, fanciful & lenient in some way of the mind but my character as an entirety is eccentric. |
I almost understand that.

Back on subject, so what is your point of view in terms of Dubai aglomeration? What are those key elements? Natural resources?
I pointed out that Dubai is routinized by rich dogs. Rich dogs have characters? |
Planning extends further than a city center, and, like I said before, it has to do with the interaction between people, the environment, and man-made places. To the extent a metropolitan area extends past its central core, its suburbs, almost by definition, are poorly planned because the interaction between people and places is distinctly tied to the use of vehicles. Natural resources are only relevant to urban design to the extent they affect the use of land. An oil derrick in the middle of a city (like they have in LA) would likely be a huge flaw in an urban plan.
The wealth of people inhabiting the land is irrelevant to whether the area is well designed. |

it's not politics. urban planning and architecture go hand in hand. The architectural programs and urban design programs of universities are usually fully integrated.

ARG!!! Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip:
Does anyone else here have an opinion on him ....
I personally cant make up my mind I hate alot of his work such as the mountain dwelling, but love the the low income housing project he did.
He came to my school and lectured once, reasonably charming, but everything you would expect, Kraftwork T-shirt and all. |

I cant put my finger on it yet but it looks like an already build high riser. Its somewhere in US but I cannot recall yet. (and it looks a little like one of the Freedom Tower proposals as well)
I am not big on that building. I wasnt big on London rocket ship/ pinus building either. |

i just saw this
and to be honest you should look at urself first before you attempt to make a statement about me
75% of the posts on this board are about what you just posted ferry armin etc
and your in none of them, but when it comes to somethin political or somethin that will stir up controversy you have somethin to say
iam being honest here, maybe tranceaddict isent the forum for you
so its not I who should stay in the other threads its you who should look in the mirror and judge yourself before you judge me |
