as much as I enjoy the hardcover on the book, it's NOT worth the extra $$ :) only if I'm ordering of Amazon or eBay
See, I HATE reading hardbacks. Dont find it nearly as enjoyable an experience as reading paperbacks.
I'm always uncomfortable and annoyed when I have to read them (bc, as I said before, some books/series/authors I simply cannot wait a year to read...)
I like breaking in a book. Leaving my natural mark on it through reading it. That's what makes the book feel like its "mine."
Read books are like trophies to me. It's why never borrow books nor lend them out neither.
I always purchase books I truly care abt to read. It greatly enhances the whole reading experience for me.

Bumped because books are awesome.
Just finished The Pillar of the Earth by Ken Follett. Long but easy read that was entertaining.
Burning through Scar Tissue, the Anthony Kiedis autobiography and just picked up Venus In Furs by Leopold Von Sacher-Masoch and Ovid's Metamorphoses.
Walking through Chapters is so hard because I'm compelled to buy EVERYTHING.

Speak, Memory by Nabokov
a long way gone by Ishmael Beah
The World We Want - Virtue, Vice, and the Good Citizen by Mark Kingwell
Just a general note on Ayn Rand: she's an extremely complicated philosopher to read, as such, people often have an oversimplified view of her work. Her style can be compared to that of Nietzsche's--both are brilliant and neither one of them can be correctly understood by the casual reader.
