yes good for us. you don't understand the awesomeness of sports. watching the best in the world perform their craft against one another is interesting. especially since as someone who plays you understand just how difficult it is to do what they do.

i agree. tennis is a very demanding sport, and unluckily, due to the growing strength of young competition every year and brutal tennis schedule, tennis players look into retirement in their late 20's.

Federer-Berdych was very good, but a close second to Gonzo-Gasquet. I could just feel the vibe when watching that match. After the third set, we just had this sense Berdych was losing grip to the match, and Federer was going to take the 4th and 5th.

can't believe federer came back from being down 2 sets! lets see if he can win it

Tomas Berdych is a talented-head case. It shouldn't be surprising at all he lost in 5.

Word. Don't they hit the ball like 100 mph?

yep and you have to understand returning a ball coming that fast is like hitting a bowling ball because it feels so damn HEAVY. throw in some spin and wow that's amazing that someone can not only get their racket on it but aim it somewhere specific while adding spin or flatting out the ball. you not only have to move fast but think fast. what they do day in and day out amazes me.

I like that Adidas t-shirt Verdasco's wearing.

5th set coming up!

Great win for the Spaniard. He just had fresher legs than Murray.

i've learned a couple of things tonight:

* The French have 3 very solid up and coming players: Simon, Tsonga, and Monfils
* That Austrailian heat is killing the players :)

But wow. Didn't expect Verdasco to top Murray like that, especially with the way Murray was breezing through competition in the early rounds. Then again, we didn't expect Berdych to put up a fight against Federer.
