| I actually just straight up asked Ame what it was. He said new Radio Slave and Tolfrey (a few months later) said it was upcoming on a No Sleep comp. Asking djs track names isn't hard to do :p |

| quote: | | The older I get I'm starting to think that I'd rather just release stuff under my own name. The Radio Slave name was originally just used as a remix vehicle to get jobs. I was working with someone else and I was doing a lot of re-edits of pop tracks so the name obviously worked. And then it became this monster and turned into something else. |

this thread was awesome, will read again.
I wonder if he has grown to dislike being called Radio Slave because of what it connotates, being a slave to something, to the radio of all things. For some reason I imagined he got it from a mix of Radiohead (popular Band) and a remix of the band Audioslave. But where he says he got it from is interesting.
What are the major label, pop remixes he did? For some reason I didn't think he did many, but it seems as thats where he got his start. I only discovered him in 2004-2005 through Danny Howells. |
