yes...patrons were arrested...not club owners or staff.
It wouldn't be hard to prove that police target the club more then other clubs in town. I don't think the lawsuit is being filed in an attempt to win millions of dollars....its being filed in order to show the city that they will not go down without a fight. Its about time someone stood up to the city. |

The cops DO harass the patrons. I got searched leaving one morning and the cop told me himself that they're not going to stop searching and questioning patrons until the club shuts down. That's harassment!

that's not accurate... what they need is reasonable and probable grounds, which exiting an establishment that has a reputation for drug use is not. |

I hear the cops are saying that they are seeing these individuals do drugs in the club and that's why they are searching outside. I say push back on the cops and challenge them on that.
My dad used to be a cop and thought me alot of ways to get out of being searched and what my rights are, it has def helped me in the past. |

I hope they win this. Im not a fan of Comfort Zone but i have been a first hand eyewitness at the harrassment that the police inflicted at peak time at Republik. By the way, ALL charges were dropped in that case.
There is definately harassment going on and clubs are targeted. Anyone who doesnt see that is blind. A victory for comfort zone is in effect a victory for everyone who works and parties in any club in toronto, especially adam vaughans ward.
Its about time somebody stands up to these undemocratic douches |
